JDM Obscurities From the Fukuyama Auto & Clock Museum

I finally made the trip to Fukuyama City's incredible retro Automobile & Clock Museum, and did not leave disappointed. What an incredible place for the old-school JDM car lover to visit! What's there to see, I hear you ask? Well... how about Japan's classic bonnet buses? Also, the incredibly rare Hino Briska Light Van, a Nissan Junior Fire Tender (and several other Nissan & Toyota firetrucks), a rare Isuzu Unicab fire services vehicle, a groovy Mazda Light Bus, a mega-rare, restored Toyopet pickup, a unicorn Tokusan TF, a crusty FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser. And, it should be noted that this will not be the final video from this west-Japan auto museum. There are so many more incredible rare & unique JDM passenger cars in a (near) future video.

notice the West Australian rego sticker on the *T150 Carina which expired in 2007. What a great museum . That Toyopet truck, restored burgandy one with the wood frame, absolutley love it. I would own in a heartbeat.

The Unicab was one I'd been hoping to spot for a while. And, there're still more obscure cars to show from this museum. Hopefully, I'll publish them later this month

I was there in 2013. One of my favourite museums because they encouraged you to sit in some of the cars.

Yes. Actually, caused an issue for me because there were kids sitting in a bunch of cars with in the main building. I was cool with it. Just had to circle back a few times. Lol

@@wasabicars right... photo permission issues. If you ever find a Nissan Patrol 4w61 (56-57) over there let me know... I have one in Canada but have never come across evidence of one in Japan.

Now that´s very interesting! Yes I immediatelly recognized the Junior. ☺ Never seen the Matchbox one. Not sure but the other one could also be a Junior. 🤔 Really not sure. It´s not a Patrol FH60 that one is more square. Those Glorias man! CH stands for Switzerland. But why it´s on there? I dunno. That Toyopet small pickup could be post-war like the old Datsuns that were made with wood parts because after the war many resources were scarce. And they just produced the pre-war ones after the war for a time. Japanese licence plate for oversees use? Diplomatic car? And the end isn´t bad either! I´d love to see more from this museum!

The Mazda truck at 1:18 were available in Australia in the late 70’s early 80’s as a relative of mine had one

Forgive my pronunciation. I collect old Japanese castle postcards. The reason is because so many castle buildings didn't survive the 2nd world war.

That Toyota Carina is incredibly interesting!, I went on the wayback machine to see the website stated on the car. You can actually see some of the progress of the car through the early 2000s and its story. Unfortunately most of the photos on the website weren't archived :(

the Circle with the CH was or is the Country identifier in Europe for Swiss Registered Vehicles. Like DE is German and F is for France, CH is for Switzerland

The Isuzu Bus is called the BX series, the traditional bonnet trucks are TX series.
