@@natsuo1891 the other android is the one that killed his "friend" is a modele E executor. the same class as 2B, B is false. It is 2E many side missions hide details like this . BIG SPOILER ALERT : in action during YoRHa's operations against the machines. 2B's role was to ensure that 9S would not discover the true nature of Project YoRHa by executing him in case he dug too deep because of the natural curiosity programmed into him. Over the course of hundreds of operations, 2B was forced to kill 9S and wipe his memory countless times, an act that she came to hate for the pain it caused her after bonding with him over that time. (It is revealed in NieR: Orchestra Concert that 2B killed 9S 48 times.)

Exactly. 2B gets to keep all her memories with 9S from previous interactions with him. There’s a legitimate bond established with 9S in current form and beforehand, nearly fifty times’ worth. It’s not out of the ordinary to see jealousy here. Obviously she cares.

Close but not really. You say "if she was trying to throw him off because she was worried he'd find out she would have just killed him". She doesn't want to kill him though, because of their bonding. She's attached to him and doesn't want to go through that pain for the 50th time. So thats the reason she 'acts' jealous to avoid him getting killed again. It's not fair to say she would just kill him again... she's traumatised by having to do that over and over again. She's probably playing it up in a mix of not wanting him to die and also being actually jealous. You are correct about the rest it's just that her saying this aloud is probably intended to deter him.

There shouldn't be that strong of a bond between a male Yorha and 2B, specially considering how all female androids are lesbians

@@natsuo1891 spoiler read at your own risk In the side quests she ask you about who killed her friends. Turns out she did it herself since she is an Type E(executioner) Yorha unit. This is a big introduction of the type E units. Which 2b(more specifically 2E) is disguised as one

It's a side mission. I forget what it's called, but the chick before the desert area gives it to you in which you have to fight a kill and bunch of machines in the interest of "science". It's a gauntlet. This NPC will then reveal her findings to you.

The English-speaking world doesn't really understand the whole "Kuudere" character arctype; the cool and quiet gal who knows what she's doing, focuses on the job, and won't get too emotional nor noisy. It's been confirmed by the interviews that the ENG dub group had no exposure to the original JAP dub nor script, so they pretty much just winged it. Which is sad, as it completely changes 2B's character, for the worse IMO. She's meant to be trying to be emotionless because of the past, sad events, not a bitchy boss lady.

The translated scripts have exact word directions as far as i know (like f-word for italian, or kill for french), english is the closest to the ambiguity of the original Spoiler Also if i remember correctly from Jackass experiments... Androids have a built in function of affection to battle similar to how a humans feel love. In irl human’s brain, aggression is also very close to affection. But in androids it is cranked to 100 to boost the growth of their fighting abilities. It obviously have a downside, in that the most rewarding stimuli to them is extreme violence. *#%# double meaning is one and the same for android, cause it’s both the same kind of feelings

TWO-BEE fair, throughout the game she had a more... I guess Neutral sort of personality. More only show in extreme moments (SPOILER DOWN HERE V) Like when she has to kill him in the game. (SPOILER ABOVE ^) With this in mind, he probably figured a compliment wouldn't work/would seem forced and fall flat. And, well, Nines is just too soft boi to really be smooth boi.

Nier Automata is the only game where I can say that the combat and general gameplay is really boring and unoriginal, but I will still recommend the game with a 4/5 just because the story is so incredibly good.

@@scary5455 the basic combat is the most mindless and uninspired hack and slash gameplay I have ever experience. Sure the hacking minigame is super fun but there's quite a bit of time before you get to that. Maybe it's just personal taste but I didn't care for the hack and slash at all.

If I remember correctly you get it after one of the endings.

Why would I do that? That's like one of the best if not the best aspects of the game!

Certain areas of the game have low volume, especially if you're inside a building. I am fully aware of how beautiful the music is. Best soundtrack ever if you ask me.
