The question you see asked a million times, answered right here. Will 37‘s fit on the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with no lift/stock height?
The 35" Nitto Terra Grappler G2s I took off: amzn.to/3azIhu2
The 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers I added in this video: amzn.to/3FIzZhD
The 38" Milestar Patagonias I'd ordered and did end up with eventually: amzn.to/3p4kw5X

I love the look and I am wanting 37s too and everyone is saying and charging for it too! I am so glad I found this video I have a Gladiator Sport and I tow a camper and I am scared to death that the 3 inch lift is going to lower my towing capabilities too much! I was thinking of changing to the 5.13 gears anyway just because of the fact I am towing a 24’ camper at 6800 lbs I am rated at 7600 but lacking the extra weight of your rubicon! I am going to add lockers because it’s the best 4 wheel drive and a wench I saw your front bumper and I like that look as well

Subscribed! Finally someone did a JT video on running 37's BEFORE a lift! I plan on buying a Gladiator Sport next year when the Ecodiesel becomes an option. I know the Sport sits lower than the Rubicon, but this will give me a good indicator of what height lift to look for. Can't wait to see your future mods!

I’m gonna buy a diesel overland gladiator when they arrive. Basically mirror the EVO gladiator except with a different front bumper. I just want the goodies the overland comes with minutes the overrated stock LEDs and safety features that the big lift and tires will block anyway. 4.5” lift will clear 40s with different genders. 4.88s + full delete and tune should have power where it needs to be be and boom my lifetime rig. Been out of the Jeep game since I sold my 02 TJ (in 07) on what were them monster truck sized 38s. I’m budgeting 25k for axles, roll cage, recovery + bumpers, delete + misc and all necessary overlanding gear. I’m so excited this is gonna be the longest 15 months haha

This year my goals are elockers or the least, tires for the winter. Lift for me is two years down the road. Larger tires any larger than 35 present issues with gearing as do other issues involved with a lift, like driveshaft strength and pinion angles . I appreciate your views on the topic. The Canadian price is higher that what you would pay, besides the loss on the RAM I traded in for this vehicle. This vehicle is what I want. It has more versatility than truck in the class. The more videos I watch the more I learn about its capabilities. Thanks for your thoughts.

I like your rig. My Sport S will take 35s without lift. Your Rubicon price includes devices the Sport lacks like elockers, rock rails, and a 2 inch lift. After 35 inch tires, lift and gearing becomes the new expense. It is all about what you can do with what you have. Have a happy 4th.

Better offset wheels would be the easiest fix for the rubbing issues. I would skip the fender liner mods, as they’ll be Swiss cheese after continuing to mod/cut.

OFFROADJKU Yeah, there’s no real rubbing issue at this point. As I mentioned, I’ve got custom wheels coming, but I’m also going ro make some fender mods to see what kind of flex I can get out of it before lifting, then evaluate how much lift I need. Id like to keep that as minimal as possible.

Great thorough video! I was super excited to know that the JTR is capable of 35's without a lift and now even more stoked to know 37's can wheel no problem for pavement pounder. Are you running any wheel spacers or is that the stock wheel to hub we are seeing? You mentioned that the offset on your ordered wheels would fix any inside rubbing issues, but if youre running stock wheel to hub with those 37's, some viewers that want to keep the stock wheels would be happy to know that some inexpensive wheel spacers would put them sitting just right. Also, what winch are you running and what type of sunshade is that. Keep up the good work, your rig looks great!
@campNcrawlR
@campNcrawlR 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. The wheels I'm using now (without spacers) are from a JKU, so you're seeing wheel to hub. I'm not 100% certain, but think the backspacing on the stock JT wheels might be slightly more than these JKU wheels. As for winch, I'm running the Smittybilt X2O 12K, and the sunshade is the one from my JKU. I'll eventually get a new one, but this one is working well for now.

EVO with their Overlander Sport S Gladiator proved you need a 6 inch lift to clear 37 or 40 inch tires, to get your approach, departure, bottom clearance back. The Sport needs elocks, an lift, bumpers, rocksliders, and tires.
@waynestewart8535
@waynestewart8535 5 жыл бұрын
A larger tire will always improve the approach, departure and breakover angles without any additional lift. What is lost is clearance to the vehicle, in steering lock (left, right) and in flex. When a lift is added then the approach, departure, breakover angles and clearance to vehicle parts (while flexing) are increased. Steering clearance are not increased, steering geometry is affected. An example; Replacing a 33 inch tire with a 37 inch tire will lift a vehicle 2 inches, with no lift, and reduce vertical flex clearance by 2 inches, and decrease the clearance of tire in lock left/right. Approach, departure and breakover angles improve If instead of bigger tires a 2 inch lift kit is installed, the vehicle is lifted 2 inches, approach, departure, breakover angles all improve and wheel well clearance also improves. If both the bigger tires and the two inch lift kit are installed then the vehicle is lifted a total of 4 inches breakover, approach, departure angles improve from both the lift and the tires. Clearance in the wheel well (vertically remains about the same). Rant over. Gladiator looks great with those tires and rims! I think a lift would only add to the fantastic look,
@campNcrawlR
@campNcrawlR 5 жыл бұрын
Approach, departure, and breakover are already improved with the 37s. Yes lift will help too, but 6” is by no means needed or required. It all depends on what your end goals/use are.
