Looks great! Any idea if they would fit without the wheel spacers? I have heard yes and no. I want to keep the Rubicon wheels with 37's and a 1.5 level but would rather not have to do the wheel spacers. I was told that if you get an adjustable track bar it will center it and you wont need the spacers. Just curious if you tried it without. Thanks!

Hello. I have a Willys. Any idea of a 1 1/2 with 37 will be the same as yours? Obviously you have higher gears then me but this is really pavement only. Thanks and love your jeep pal

Are you able to fit the 37 Patagonia under the truck as a spare? Got the same tires coming and keeping my factory wheels as well! Great vid!
@21SethG
@21SethG 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Justin, thanks for watching and supporting the channel! I don’t have my spare mounted underneath yet, but I’ve been told the Pats will fit. Originally I was waiting, because I was going to install my exhaust and then mount the spare. After seeing the results of the CAI on the dyno, I decided not to add an exhaust. Long story short, I’ve been told it will fit, but can’t say from experience.

I really love the look of the 37s on factory wheels with just the 1.5 inch leveling kit and wheel spacers. Do you think that same setup would work long term for someone that doesn’t plan to wheel heavily? Just found your channel and I love the content. Keep the videos coming.
@21SethG
@21SethG 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim! Thanks so much for the support! I absolutely think this is a GREAT setup long term for someone who doesn’t plan to wheel hard. The only thing I would suggest is checking your wheel spacers regularly to ensure that they are still holding torque. Furthermore, you may run a smaller spacer or possibly not one at all. I ran one because the lift kit that I bought (and still haven’t installed) called for wheel spacers if you are going to run the Rubicon OEM wheels.

Thanks for the response. I was also wondering if you feel the stock 4.10 gearing is still adequate with the 37’s. I thought after driving with the current setup for a few months you would have a good feel for whether a gear change is necessary. That’s the biggest thing steering me towards 35’s. I don’t want to do a gear change. Thanks again for the great content. I have watched them all now
@21SethG
@21SethG 3 жыл бұрын
I’m definitely regearing mine, but waiting to get my lift on first to decide the ratio. With the 37’s it stays in 7 gear a lot on the highway, unless there’s no wind and it’s really flat and straight. I don’t think you’d have these issues with 35’s at all. That being said, I’ve seen a lot of people go 35’s and immediately regret it... LOL It’s all personal preference, and can be a tough call...

Great info as usual. So I was going with a hub centric wheel (17x8.5) that has 4.75" back spacing then I don't think I will need the spacers, correct?

I have 2 1/2” lift w37’s on my JLUR. Also have the Tazer installed to correct speedo but have not regeared. The best mpg I have gotten is 15.5 at 65 mph on a good semi flat road with a tail wind. Today on a interstate... not to hilly with cruise set at 75 i was getting 14.5. The only time the Jeep ever gets in 8th gear is on a pretty good downhill. Usually runs in 6th gear.... I drove it to Moab from Ky when it was new and stock. Dont exactly remember numbers but I do remember it was no where near the mpg that Jeep said it should get...

another informative video bud! thanks for taking the time to do the documentation, it will definitely answer alot of the recirculating questions about what its takes to run 37" tires on a JT, specifically a Rubicon. Ive been on the fence about 35 vs 37 because i see alot of comments about regrets of not 35ers wishing they went 37's the first time. Im just going to suck it up and go 37 with expectation to regear to 4.88 or 5.13 to put the transmission rpm range to near stock for fuel eco (especially in my manual). Ive done alot of forum and facebook probing and 37's on stock wheels not only looks great, but ive heard there is minimal if any rubbing when off road, and no problems on-road. After watching this it fair to say wheel spacers is a solid investment as a guarantee there will be no rubbing in any condition or position. Well...there went another $200, thanks again Seth! I look forward to the tire evaluation once you get a few miles on them.

As always, I appreciate the dialogue between us and our experiences! You’ve helped me a ton, and hopefully I’ve been able to help you a little as well. I’ll definitely share with you and negatives that I experience from the wheel spacers should there be any. One thing that’s already been brought to my attention that you should consider is steel spacers versus aluminum. I felt good about mine, considering they are hub centric, but would be even better if they were steel.
@GatorOverland
@GatorOverland 4 жыл бұрын
@@21SethG i saw the comment on your FB from the veteran installer and cant help but agree. Aluminum is lighter and softer than steel and is prone to nut/bolt torque loss over time, but if you maintain your routine rotation intervals this should be a non-issue. I think the main concern would be if you were to commonly endure extreme offroad conditions and putting extra leverage on the factory studs. Going down the highway shouldnt put you in this category, but its good to be aware of the possibilities. I think i would just make damn sure i had my lug wrench or appropriate lug size and socket in a vehicle bugout bag along with a few extra lug nuts just in case. you may find others on the trail that need it more than you.

@@21SethG what kind of impact have you seen on fuel economy with the 37s?
@21SethG
@21SethG 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve definitely seen a decrease in my MPG. I average around 14-15 MPG. However, that’s a mix of in town driving and highway. Mostly in town, I’d say 70% in town. I was in the 17-18 MPG before. That being said, I don’t drive in an attempt to persevere fuel mileage, I just drive. Also, I plan to regear after I install my lift kit and hope to regain the fuel mileage after doing so. I hope that helps.

Just curious off you CAI video I know you went back to the stock box but did you happen to try drop in AEM dry filter?? I’ve always seen better results that way in previous Ecoboost (tuned) trucks. Stock box with a drop in. Just curious if you tried and what you found. Thanks

@shrayusreddy I’m not sure, as I didn’t have that problem with the Milestar Patagonias. The 37x12.5 is approved for 17” rim that are 8.5” - 11” wide. Check the specs on their website if you’re going with these tires. If you’re going with another tire try finding their specs on their website. milestartires.com/light-trucks/patagonia-xt/

Thank Dean, I REALLY appreciate that!!! I know I kind of fell off the map, LOL! I do have my JT still and still have a few mods to install. I even already have the parts. Specifically the 3.5” MetalCloak Game Changer suspension lift and the American Adventure Lab Hi-Line Fender kit. I’ve just had a lot of personal life changes that have prevented me from having time to install them and make videos. Sold my house, in the process of building another one, started a new job, so unfortunately the JT hit the back burner. Very hopeful to get back going this summer after the house is done. Again thank you so much for your kind words. I know my videos are not perfect by any means, but a lot of people don’t understand how much goes into making them. When someone like you appreciates them, it’s motivating to make another one!

LOVE it!!! Sounds like you should be the one making the videos with your history of Jeeps!!! LOL This is my second, as I also had a JK. I love the setup of the Mojave! Coincidentally, someone is coming today to buy the exhaust (AFE - MachForce) that I was originally going to put on mine. To answer your question, yes I’ve enjoyed my bumper and winch combo setup. I’ve had no issues at all. That being said, if I were going to wheel a lot, I’d go with a heavier duty bumper. This one is stamped metal, and I would expect it wouldn’t hold up to lots of wheeling. I personally enjoy wheeling some, but it’s also my everyday driver so I don’t have any intention of wheeling it hard right now. Hope that helps!!! BTW, jealous of your ROGUE gym, but hopefully not far behind you after we get moved in!!!

No, I’ve had no issues with rubbing offroad. That being said, I’m reasonable and cautious with the trails and obstacles I attempt considering my current setup. Honestly, this setup has outperformed my expectations. Hope that helps!
