Jeep grand Cherokee airbag light ORC, No communication

!!! So this is my jeep grand Cherokee and I had a dash light on for the airbag . I was not impressed when I found the problem but it may be because I was stupid ! Lol Not much to say about this video this jeep grand Cherokee kind of irritated me.

Thanks so much I trusted the factory label as spare fuse and I was struggling for hours. Would never have thought ..very helpful video

What did you do with fuses to turn the air bag light off?

Oh yeah! My owners manual doesn't match the fuse boxes that I have, and neither does my Chiltons!

Amen brother on the idiots who didn’t label the fuse box. Same for my 2008 Grand Cherokee. Idiots at Jeep! Probably the same team who designed the transmission with no dipstick or drain plug!

Do you happen to no what I need to check for the steering wheel controls? I got no power (horn, and cruise control). I checked fuses and still no power.

Well my best guess would be the main connector that goes to the steering column or if it’s not that it needs a new clock spring

Uggh. I have a question for you , Sir. I have a 2009 JGC. I changed out my AC system last year. Everything was working fine until a few weeks ago. It's my wife's vehicle, so I couldn't hear, or see any symptoms before failure. I ended up swapping out the blower and the relay. No fix. I did it again, out of frustration with non OEM parts. This time at night. I noticed that the green background light on the climate control knob was out. The orange AC(snowflake) light was on and the recirculation light. I swapped out the Climate control module and still no fix. When I have the AC on and am driving at highway speeds, I can feel cold air coming out, but not the blower giving it the force that it needs. Is it a bad wire?

You either need to have a set of gauges hooked up to it or do you need to take it to a professional and have them do so unfortunately that’s not a question I can answer over a text message but something is certainly going on in one of the lines because you tell me that you can feel cool air as you’re driving down the highway and that is helpful but unfortunately won’t leave me to a Diagnosis I apologize I could not help

2002 jeep grand cherokee air bag light stays on I replaced the air bag module and the clock spring and the air bag sensors and the light is still on what do I do?

Well JacobI don’t know because I’m not looking at all the information. And I’m not sure if this is the video that I describe how to change the vin inside the Ecm but that’s a possibility and that’s why it’s probably still on. Obviously that’s just a guess so I can’t say for certain I hope you get it figured out brother have a great day

Hi Jacob, I have the same problems with my 2005 grand cherokee. I have changed the clock spring and air bag module. Have you solved the problem that was causing the air light to stay on?

So how did you get the ABS module to speak correctly with the PCM. I have the exact same issue with a mismatched Vin and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix it. Did you find a corroded wire did you make another video that covered this I can't find? please help.

In my situation it was just quite simply a corrupted ECM so I just had to reprogram the ECM with my scanner I had no bad wires or anything

Look under the seats for broken Airbag wires when the seat moves back-and-forth frequently it rubs against the wires and breaks them that’s an easy one you can look for without having a scanner to scan it and find out exactly where the break is I hope that’s helpful God bless have a great day

If you look at the bottom far right of the fuse bank cover you will see the ** for what the fuses are for. 2 * are for Jeep vehicles.

What's ridiculous is listening to you talk for almost 2 minutes of a 4 minute video about everything else except why I clicked on it!! AIR BAGS!!

Here’s the thing about automobiles, certain cars have certain problems that have certain symptoms. Like in this situation where the airbag light was on but there was no communication with the ORC. Which turn the airbag light on but didn’t have anything to do with the airbag. It’s a part of the symptoms not the diagnosis. I’m very sorry Drew that this video was not helpful for you. It’s great that we have the ability to go look on the Internet and find a video that will sometimes help people but the ultimate hope is found at the car dealership or an auto repair shop. I KZfaq is just a stepping stone to helping you understand what is going on with your vehicle I greatly apologize that you did not find my video helpful God bless him have the best of days anyways
