I was searching for places i've never been to and discovered a stage stop station and decided to google the name and found out there was a murder at this location dating back to 1894! It spoke of a few different land marks and i decided to head out and see the place for myself. Its always nice to be able to read about historical events and be able to go check them out. I was using Gaia gps to find this location as I always do. If you are interested in buying this app I have an affiliate code that will save you some money. (perfect gift for the outdoors man) www.gaiagps.co....
I also gave my buddies from lolo overland a shout out for hooking me up with some gear and some merch which i did pay for. If you by chance are interested in buying anything from lolo overland use the code DIRTBANDIT to save 10%.

Those timbers in that hole could possibly be the shelter that stood around the well, because if you think about it, they probably had a windlass to wind the rope up that would carry the bucket up from the water. Just a thought.

That's probably what they were. Good idea!

Good job! I like how you cover the history and background. I try to do the same. I started exploring Nevada a couple of years ago, the old buildings, ghost towns and gold mine are endless. I think your close to Nevada right? I do all my exploring on my motorcycle although I do have a newer Tacoma.

Thank you. I try hard to cover the history. If I detect a place I try to keep the location a secret but touch on the history if I can. It's funny that you mention Nevada because I was researching parts of it tonight. I'd love to go some time. I have about 8 pre 1875 homesteads and a bunch of other old places to Check out soon. I did get one permission a few days ago at an older property that just got torn down but I have to wait till I recover from surgery to do it.

Hi Brian, did you do any metal decting around the well?
@DirtBandit
@DirtBandit 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Bob, I'm not supposed to because it's on public lands and it's a known historical location. If I did I probably would have found a few casings and some square nails.
