I replaced the tie rod ends and drag link on my LJ with ZJ parts-they are. beefier. If you google zj upgrade you can find some good videos and forum posts on it. I used MOOG parts from amazon and it rides great

Whoever installed that outer tie rod forgot to tighten the nut. Good thing the cotier pin was there to keep the nut from completely falling off! 😮

That would actually be me lol. I noticed the other side didn’t have a washer like I removed from the driver side. I am wondering if the washer may have influenced the situation. Anyway, glad to have it sorted out. Thanks for watching! PS, it’s tight this time.

Great video! I’m pretty sure that the tie rod end of the drag link on Hound, my JKU, is dying. I need to change that before death wobble sets in. Thanks for the reminders!

That’s been a dodgy repair before you don’t put washers under the nut on tie rod ends, if you see a washer you know someone has tried to remove the play from the worn out joint before

You are right. I knew it was feeling loose lol. Thanks for watching!

Arent you supposed to add grease to the ball joints?

Yes you are. I did but my grease gun was at my In-laws shop. I greased after I cut the video. Probably should have showed that lol. Thanks for watching!
