Do you hear rapid clacking/clicking under your JK/JKU steering column? It's probably the heat / a/c blend door actuator - it's either failed or missing teeth. If you're heat is not working properly, this could also be the culprit.
This video shows you how to access and replace the actuator. The part is cheap (~$30) and easy to replace but access is a real pain!
