I love the look of that system. In our Jeep I just hooked up a Sony XAV AX5500 deck and a xm gs6dsp 6 channel to my front and rear speakers and Bridged the sub channels to 600w rms to a kicker compQ 10. I’m still running factory amplifier to the factory 8 sub for now, but I want to replace it with a shallow kicker 8 and install these towers as well and another amp of course.

If your looking for a little more boom boom base I would recommend the stinger 12 inch sub box that mounts to the tailgate

So ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY LOVED seeing your beautiful daughter help with install !!! I started having both my kids help me extremely young , they're 19 & 24 now and very capable of doing there own things now . They allow me to participate but I think it's just to amuse me plus it's a family thing !!!

I can’t thank you enough for this video. I just bought these for my JL, did you drill into the DV8 tube to run your speaker wire and RGB?

Thanks for watching! Glad it helped. Yes I drilled right next to the mounts on the bottom. The hardest part is fishing all those wires through.

So I’ve got a YJ was planning on having a set of DS-18 towers speakers, does anyone know if they will fit on the stock top roll bar and still have the top fit?

They still work. When you turn off the tower speakers you can see how low the normal speakers are

I have the cf-P56 pods 8inch short. I have A 2021 2 door JL rubicon . Ds18 says I can’t use the tube it’s only for JLU 4door Ds18 says I can flat mount them. Any idea how I can mount . Can you put a quick connect on those speakers so if need to take out for a couple days u would not need to rewire . Ty great video . I sub and liked ty again

I’m pretty sure Ds18 makes one for the 2 door JL that has removable bolts to take the whole bar off from the mounting brackets. As for the wiring, just use any connector plugs at the bar so you can just unplug it.

Has great mid base, but I would keep the subwoofer.

Yes, you can wire a single color right to the speaker, and it will flash with the sound or you can run a separate 12v source.

There are multiple ground points under the carpet by the rear seats.

@@MohawkDaveOffRoad is there a way you can show how you ran it to the head unit, please? I am running a similar set up but in not getting the full potential out of the tower speakers. and i’m guessing if i connect them to the stock head unit it would make a difference

I'm curious. Why did you have them facing in? They have to be blowing you ears off?

It actually sounds great with the roof off and doors off. The music sounds clear cutting through the wind and road noise. Typically the reason why you see people install them facing to the back on a Jeep or truck is for tailgating and shows. On boats people install them facing to the rear is so the wakeboarders being towed can hear the music too.
