In this clip, Jeff Bhasker opened up about coming up with Virgil Abloh and watching him evolve into a groundbreaking designer. Jeff then detailed his last conversation with Virgil, where they both admitted they were inspired by each other. From there, Jeff spoke about going on tour with Kanye and going from being a back-up keyboardist to being a set designer and music director, as Kanye trusts his creative instincts. Full artistry, Kanye is the best artist in the history of Hip Hop for sure. Too much critical acclaim, too many units sold, too much influence, too many classic bodies of work, too many awards (most decorated Grammy artist in History in any genre). Too many culture defining moments and cultural impact. Reinvented himself too many times. If you not following this shit closely it’ll seem silly but everything I’ve said here is 100% true.

Because he's a collaborator and can make better music that way. I can't really argue what sounds good but I can say Kanye has 10 #1 albums between 2004 and 2021. So having that appeal for that long should put you in the discussion as one of the best of the 21rst Century. Hip hop is probably the most culturally significant genre of the this century and Kanye has been arguably the most influential within hip hop this century. Also if you expand the idea of an artist to going past just the music to include how popular his Yeezy brand has become in urban fashion and also interviews and public attention through all of the controversies adds to his overall artist profile.
