One more comment. This is what I want to hear when I listen to, or watch an interview on video. No hype, no over the top antics.... Just 2 guys talking about music. Thanks Jason, and thanks Jeff!!

Jeff is an amazing musician, and I really think that Dokken really began to move on after he was in the band composing, he is so humble that in the interview he states "Dokken obviously got to succeed because of George playing, Don's voice, etc." but it was also because of him...

I saw Dokken open for Twisted Sister on the Under Lock and Key tour in Maryland at the Capitol Center. Dokken finished their set and people were still chanting Dokken when Twisted Sister came on.

Have loved Dokken since 1985, but to your point about Foreigner bringing in younger fans: My Daughter just turned 19 and her favorite song for a few years now is “I Want to Know What Love Is”. She was 16 and as a future nurse, via Vo-Tech School, she was in a labor and delivery room and as she says w joyous tears to this day “Dad, that baby came out right when that chorus kicked in”. I love hearing her tell this story.

Best interviewer I've ever listened to in any field. He asks the questions fans want to know and gets so much information out of the guests. This channels is going to huge. Another interviewer of these bands needs to take notes from this guy for sure.

@@debsayler624 Very simple...he does his homework and thinks outside the box. He doesn't always asked the same boring questions. It's probably a breath of fresh air for the musician being interviewed too.

Interviewer par excellence. Others could learn a lot about how to conduct an interview by watching this. Been a Dokken fan since the beginning and I knew Jeff Pilson would have the most honest assessment of the band's history. Once again, this proves that the ones who don't get the brightest spot light in the band often have the most interesting things to say.

I loved this interview. I'm a guitar player have been playing since the early 80's so I was a George fan by far.. but even back then I always figured Jeff was the glue that helped keep them together. But I'm also a big Foreigner fan. One of my first albums I ever bought on my own was when Agent Provicateur ( I was 11). And I love that band, the song writing was incredible on those Foreigner albums. (Not being the rock hall is a crime and I know there are many others that should be as well).. And I am NOT one of those fans that say "NO so and so NO band.. BS.. This Foreigner is Foreigner to me, the songs sound amazing.. and let's be honest yeah Lou isn't there and thats sad, but when someone isn't able to do it, why not find someone who can keep that music alive and still able to bring it to fans live and introduce these timeless classics to the younger generations. I kinda wished you would have talked to him about what it was like to be in Dokken w/ Jon Norum on guitar and Reb Beach on guitar.. I loved those two albums w/ those guys... .

I'm an 80s fanatic and on the short list of things I love from that magical decade the band Dokken is definitely in the top 5 no other hard rock band from that time is as tasty to my ears, the entire band as a whole looks and sounds to me like a jack n coke tastes, perfect. I personally love every Dokken video and I for one don't feel like they made any wrong moves during the 80s in my opinion it's all picture perfect. Great interview.

That is when I became a huge Dokken fan! They had such a unique sound that made you feel good inside. I actually got chills listening to Georges solos.
