David isn't "associated" with a bad time. He caused it. Like, even if David's side of the story was 100% true (which it very clearly isn't even close to that), you would think that he would still feel some guilt about being involved in what happened, or at least understand why Jeff blames him. I can't imagine being involved in a situation where I walked away fine while someone else nearly died and not struggling with it at all. Based on how David talked about it, you would think he was a bystander, not an active participant. Also, I don't care how much someone pestered me to put them in a dangerous situation. I wouldn't be physically able to make myself do that, even if the risk was just a broken bone. In David's own version of what happened, he reveals an alarming lack of empathy and character.

I’m happy that Jeff has been healing so well and has been speaking out. It’s such a hard thing, and it shows how strong he is and how much he’s grown as a person.

As someone who was bit on the eyes/nose by a dog I was pet sitting, needed 2 hours of reconstructive surgery on my eyelids, and have nerve pain/eye twitching, and needed a stent in my tear duct for 2 months because mine had been shredded…. I sorta know what he’s going through, but I’m lucky because the owner of the dog is amazing, offered to cover any medical expenses not covered by insurance, and I tell her anytime I have an appointment coming up. She’s not a millionaire, but is doing her best to make things right…. Imagine being a literal millionaire, having the money to make things right…… and you don’t……

The way Natalie gave priority to David's edit more than Jeff’s injury is just baffling. How could she? David might have been good to her since her childhood but that doesn't mean it gives him the right to make her do whatever he wants to. She should have her own empathy towards people. The reason Nat might have said that is for 2 things: 1. Motive. It would help Davids case if the question was ever asked "Well why did he go up there to begin with?". The real answer was because David wanted to film it and it was his idea to begin with but that would be admitting guilt onto David. So instead Nat said "Jeff did it to impress me" to take the heat of David and say that Jeff was trying to impress her, and that would make the case look at Jeff going up there as a "Macho manly way" trying to impress the girl. In turn making it JEFFS idea and not david, and david just so happened to have a camera to film. 2. Projection, Maybe she liked him.

Something that also bothers me is that Heath and Scotty also got hurt on that excavator and if they weren’t so far up David’s behind, that could help Jeff’s case. There’s an Unfiltered episode that aligns with the accident where Heath was talking about pulling his shoulder out of the socket and it happened during them shooting something and he had to go to a few doctors to fix it but he never went into details, just that him and Scotty “f*ed up their shoulders” only for the Jeff video and the rest of the footage to later release showing what messed up their shoulders. I feel like this would help Jeff if this went to court to show there was lots of negligence that day and it wasn’t because Jeff “wanted to go wild” or because he “was trying to impress Natalie”…
