Yes, all hogwash! When I was in I used to volunteer in the then Reginal Building Committee and work on Kingdom Hall projects. My local Kingdom Hall was remodeled and it always bothered me that the congregation borrowed money from the Watchtower and the congregation was required to pay it back. Knowing the Watchtower owned the Kingdom Hall, I could not rationalize this. I would ask myself, "Why are we paying a loan back to an organization that owns the property on a remodel done with free labor?" I guess the truth hurts and even after the so called loans were paid off, every month the congregation would send the surplus of donations to New York. What a racket!

We have a fantastic kingdom hall with it's own baptism pool it was built before quick builds was a thing all those that donated heavily now are no longer with us. Never thought my family would die none of us were prepared or made arrangements for death, this will go down in history as the longest running scam of all time.

About 30 years ago an elder took me into the kingdom hall library. He showed me all of the different Bibles we had there. He taught me what an imprimatur was. When i quit the JWs over 25 years ago i bought like 30 different Bibles. My favorite ended up being the NJB. It's funny how the NIV is based on the same texts as the NWT and reads completely different.

They don't charge for Bibles and Literature today.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses Jehovah's.
