EDIT: A keen-eyed viewer may notice that it says "By QuincySoulz" and my name is "HauntedWatson". Fear not, I haven't been hacked, I just changed my username. I was going to trim out the titles with my old username so there wouldn't be any confusion, but apparently if a video has over 100,000 views you cant do that so it's stuck there :/
Here it is, a years worth of Fridays and weekends spent on this. I hope that the effort put in shows. Thank you for over 2000 subscribers! I was going to wait until Halloween to post this, but I can't wait that long. ^^;

I just realized that the murder was a reference to the book (I don't think the little girl gets hurt in the show Lucy does) If you haven't read the book Hyde hits a small child with a cane she survives though just an observation of mine.

Goats are hot But I'm not a furry I think you're the first one to pick up on that haha, usually they make the animatics and have Hyde kill a grown woman, but I don't know I thought it would be nice to throw in a little nod to the book... Seeing as how the musical barely does.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you're mixing up two different events. In the book the little girl gets trampled and survives, and the MP Danvers Carew is beaten to death with a cane.

I must say. the style seems anime-like. Also, Hyde doesn't seem very menacing at first, more like giddy and excited. I guess I'm just used to versions where the moment he's born, he's downright evil.

Yes, I do like this version of Hyde. He does start out seemingly normal, but feels more free and alive. But since Hyde is pure, concentrated evil, there are no morals that stop his evil from going to insanity. It just goes to show that anyone can end up like Hyde if they feel that they don’t have to follow or listen to that moral compass.

Well, he is outright evil. I think you're thinking along the lines of the book, where Hyde is described as seeming to have some disformity that instantly makes you hate him, but you can't figure out what it is. Personally, I think that's a reference to how evil is undefined beyond being bad, and that's why no one can agree on what Hyde looks like: evil is constantly changing

Funny fact: In the book, Hyde and Jekyll are not different personalities, Hyde is basically the form that Jekyll takes to be able to release his unclean and insane desires (no idea what they were) while his normal side, Dr. Jekyll, conceals to Hyde. The problem comes when little by little it becomes Hyde meaningless, sleeps like Jekyll and dawns like Hyde, the potion he used ran out and the last time he used Hyde was not controlled and killed someone. In the end he knew that the next transformation would be the last and it was not decided whether to be the kind but imprisoned Jekyll or the informal but dangerous Mr. Hyde, because little by little they are distinguished as two different people. Why I put this? Because this song it's the perfect example of that.

This is Amazing! Many animatics that I have seen of 'Alive' Just doesn't get the feel that this is in fact a thriller musical. But this, with the shifting shots between Hydes face and the background, really gives it that horror feeling! Amazing work!❤❤

I think the best part of this animatic is that even though it's not smoothly animated or anything you can clearly see the shifts not just in posture but in his expressions and even how his lips are moving to form the words. Gloriously done

I definitely think this deserves more attention than it already has. The atmosphere is great , the animation is fantastic and if they were to do a movie of the play I think I would enjoy it in this art style. Good job on making this as beautiful as possible and creepy in visuals at the same time. And would love you to do confrontation as well. Your channel needs more subs.

Very nice animation! For a couple days now, I have been absolutely obsessed with this song, and its all thanks to your wonderful animation! I love how it captures Hyde's emotions perfectly! I also love how he looks like a wolf; his hair, to me, makes him look like one. Also, I have a question. In the beginning, there is a portrait that we see a glimpse of that shows a short haired, dignified looking man. Is that your interpretation of Jekyll, while the long haired one is Hyde? We also see that same short haired person in the credits, looking up at Hyde as he is hanging down. So is the short haired one what Jekyll is supposed to look like?

But anyways actually that was supposed to be the portrait of his father on the wall, my design for Henry has his hair a tiny but messy and slightly long, but not nearly as kind as shaggy Hyde haha.

So in this, Hyde was some kind of demon who needed someone to willingly, if unwittingly, destabilize their mind so he could possess them and have a body of his own, even if he only had control for a limited amount of time. That's my impression from this anyway. Awesome artwork! Have you ever considered becoming a professional?

I like your art style. You're able to twist Hyde's face into some perverse expressions of evil... I've never quite been able to pull that off.

QuincySoulz, it's been two years since I first watched this video. I just want to thank you so much for putting so much time and effort into it. This was actually the video that first introduced me to the world of Jekyll and Hyde, and this has been a memory I have gone back to many times since then. In a way, this video changed my life, so thank you.

Man, being a serial killer sounds like fun. Sounds like you get an irresistable thrilling adrenaline rush from it. Downside of course is that you might get arrested

In the beginning I wanted to hug hide soon much, then at 2:00 I got scared... it went more and more creepy from there. awesome transition from sane to absolutely bonkers! amazing animatic!!

Oh my goodness I have been waiting for this for quite some time and my expectations have been exceeded!!! You did wonderfully! I especially like his hair, it puts me in mind of a lion, which goes well with the line about animals in zoos.
