Calling it now. The community is going to shit all over her, but by the time 5.1 rolls around she'll be considered high-tier meta. You know, it's almost like HoYo knows how she will interact with the future content better than people who aren't on the dev team.

Off-field DPS characters, especially with highly reactive elements, is a DEFINITE boost to any team.

Her increasing burning is kinda inline with her character since she is a perfume maker and somehow a chemist/scientist. Just like putting gas on a leaf/dendro, it will burn more. Overall I like her design and kit., Also regarding cryo and hydro applications, I think it will null the burning reaction (chemistry based bc of lack of heat) I think, electro will do hyper overload.

I think it’d be fun to try her with arlecchino, Bennett, and kirara, getting that double resonance and limiting arles self burn feels like it may be my comfort burn team

I’m gonna go for Emilee, because she’d fit in on a burning/melt team or just mono pyro with Lyney. It might give me a reason to use my Ganyu or Wriothesley again.

I really love Baizhu still relevant for Emelie. Im guaranteed to get 5* chatacter but will wait for the 5.0 character before deciding getting Emelie or not.

Since she focuses on skill damage, I wonder if putting her with Sigewinne would be good. Like Emilie, Sigewinne, Nahida, Arle for example. Depending on how good her Dendro application is you could even replace Nahida with a VV anemo like Kazuha. Arle and Nahida can keep a permanent burn up even with Sigewinne's bubble so that might be quite a good team. Probably not top tier but still good.

As a Klee main, I smell a lot of potential for Emilie to elevate Klee to the next level. Klee has massive pyro application, so if Emilie provides enough dendro to keep up with her this could lead to massive Klee burn damage while buffing Emilie's personal damage. You could go for Bennett + another dendro character for extra application like Nahida or dendro traveler, or maybe go for Furina + Baizhu/Yaoyao for a burgeon/burn team, or just Bennett Fruina if Emilie's dendro app is strong enough on its own. There's obviously other options like Xingqiu, Yelan, Sigewinne if you really wanna heal a ton and maybe slightly buff Emilie a bit, there ciuld be ways to play around with this, and since Klee is so squishy, she definitely benefits from the burn damage reduction Emilie provides. Klee levels with EM but it's a bit difficult to utilize because of just how massive her pyro app is, which makes her better for setting up reactions rather than triggering them (except burgeon), so hopefully with this we can see Klee as the new burn meta queen 🙏

I expect Emilie to be more versatile than expected despite being chained to the burning reaction. "Pure" Burning teams with an main Pryo DPS will likely be upgrades over Mono-Pyro due to Emile's high damage, and I expect her to be great for Reverse-Melt (for Wriothesley and Ganyu). Overloaded + Burning could be great for Cyno, althrough I'm less sure of that. I plan on getting C2 Emilie and her signature weapon (as losing one or two 5* pulls to Aqua Simulica is one heck of a consolation prize ). I'm assuming the 3 characters teased in the Natlan trailer will be the 5.0 units, and I'm not particularity interested in any of them, so I'm ok with going for Emilie now and then saving up primos/cash for units down the line, like the Pyro Archon.

She is a dendro dendro mc or dendro dehya. She will work well with dehya. I think people forget dehya's E is exactly same as emilie's E...and dehya's E proc is faster than chiori's E You yourself said she only make use of burning to amp her own dmg. She doesn't buff or do anything to burning reaction, so why will she prolong the duration of burning?

i run a wanderer air fry team with bennet nahida and thoma and i clear the abyss 36 no problem so im stoked to replace nahida with emilie. Wanderer (desert pavillion) bennett (nobless) Nahida (unfinished reverie) thoma (deepwood)

i think she will be amazing with a weapon like dragons bane tbh good em for some burning damage and the extra like 36% (i think i forgot) against enemies that are affected with pyro will be amazing especially as a burining based char

I kinda wanted her as a Sub DPS / Pyro aura enabler for my *Lyney* ... ...but the team needs _both_ a healer and a shielder to work smoothly, the only proper options being Bennett (Circle Impact) and Xinyan (weak shield w/ long CD), as Yanfei is on DPS build. We really need more *Pyro* supports!

I'm going to try her on a Yanfei plunge team. Because why not? Yanfei-Furina-Xianyun-Emilie. I already am used to playing a weird over-burn plunge team (Nahida-Lisa-Yanfei-Xianyun) on a catalysts only account I have for the other half of abyss opposite of my Neuvi team so I am interested in trying a burning plunge team on my main account. Burning plunge just sounds fun. I need to be creative with my teams on my main account, since I only play tall/medium females on it, so I am really hoping I'm able to make some fun and viable teams with her.

Can't snapshot, so she doesn't work perfectly with Bennett. If only there was a character that buffed the party's attack and did off field dmg lasting for around 20-30 seconds. Now, that would be kinda crazy. It would also be kinda crazy if we got a pyro version of the dendro set so we could run something besides an anemo unit and still get good res shred with maybe a smaller but still good party wide pyro buff or something.

She is definitely going on my Furina, Xiangling, and Bennett team. I'm kicking my C4 Mona(I have lost so many 50/50s to her) out.

I am planning on pulling Emilie partially because the Genshin gods want me to. I have been farming the Faded Theatre domain for Harmonic Whimsy artifacts since Arlecchino's debut, but I have received twice as many Unfinished Reverie artifacts both in number and potential power. I predict I will have a good four piece set for Emilie long before I have one for Clorinde. My Arly uses a good Gladiator set acquired over the last four years of game play. The other reason I am pulling Emilie is because megane girls are hot.

I’m curious if she could work for cyno. obviously you can’t really get burning there as well, but a big issue with cyno is fighting waves of enemies. so if she can work somewhat without burning, and having such a long uptime, cyno dendro teams might work- even if you’re not getting the extra burning as a lyney main, I’m curious how well it will work with him. and ganyu on my alt, might work too. but then again, I already plan to get yelan on my main, and try for nilou on my alt so I probably won’t be able to get her lmao

I’d say if she has better burn upkeep than Nahida then she can actually be better for a melt Rizzly/Ayaka. Ganyu’s best team if you don’t get hit a bunch is Nahida, Shenhe, Bennett so far (I found that Xiangling and Nahida go equal dmg wise in this team but if you want more consistent melts Nahida is actually better since you do not have to get as close to the enemy).

If you could please explain how burning is calculated and how to know who triggers the reaction, that'd be nice. Should the burning artifacts set always be on the dendro character? Or can the pyro character use it instead? The reaction isn't good for damage, so it's not talked about a lot. Doesn't need a whole video, but just going over how it works a little again would be nice (how damage is calculated, what can boost the damage, who triggers the reaction, the aura...ect).

I think Emilie is a 50/50 to me, depending on the 4 stars. Might pull and see if I win the flip, and if not I’ll save for a Natlan char I really want.

Glad Fontaine ended with two patches with characters I didn’t want or already had. Gives me time to save for natlan, so far the three characters they showed for natlan aren’t calling my name but I may change my mind depending on their personality and kits. Either way I have 130 wishes saved right now for natlan (plus a few re runs I’m waiting for like shenhe, Hu Tao)

I'm not really interested with Emilie but this would be a nice lineup for Natlan's male characters. 1. Dendro guy in the trailer - off field male DPS. Great Alhaitham battery and best Cyno dendro applier. 2. 5* tall, male electro support catalyst user. Great electro applier and good electro battery. 3. Xbalanque - 5* short male pyro on field DPS. He'll be as OP as Neuvilette since he was the previous pyro archon. 4. 5* tall male cryo sub DPS. Perfect support for Wriothesley. 5. 4* pyro sub DPS. Basically Xiangling except male and from Natlan. Best teammate for Xbalanque. 6. 4* Geo support from Liyue. His skill allows geo constructs to destroy elemental shields easier. 7. 4* electro support. Perfect Alhaitham support. In the story, he's Alhaitham's bff which makes Kaveh jealous. Kaveh then suddenly gains support skills thats good to pair with Alhaitham.

From my point of view and my account, I will probably treat Emilie as a potential character if she has good synergies with characters I already have. Either way, I won't be able to pull her in this patch and she will enter in the wishlist.

One thing I dislike about Arlecchino is how much she burns herself in the overworld due to setting so much grass on fire. I still don't like Emilie's outfit but I might try a hail mary pull for her if the 4stars are good.

I'm skipping Emilie and having all my attention on the gorgeous Hydro girl we saw in the natlan trailer! But i hope Emilie will be a good character, her outfit and skills are gorgeous

I'm wondering if she'll be great with Nilou for those events with constant trash mob spawns. Because Nahida is a bit annoying there, with mobs dying faster than Nahida's skill CD. Collei or DMC fields are a bit small since Hoyo loves spawning on opposite sides of the arena back and forth .. plus also CDs and energy. Otherwise .. really disappointed that she buffs nothing. Pure subdps Xingqiu archetype is so boring (at least XQ has dmg reduction). You can make her do 100k per hit it's still boring. Even Chiori at least gives crystallizes and resonance for Navia. For Abyss I'd only use her with burnmelt Ganyu, but honestly that team still feels incomplete, it needs a better pyro character (Archon, pls?). Dehya is just not it when enemy dmg actually matters, Ganyu dies anyway. But will we ever get a sustaining, buffing and interrupt res providing pyro? I doubt it.
