I think too many people are afraid of failure, but still cling on to ideas that are terrible since they never have the courage to try them out. I know many people that has talked about their wonderful business idea for several years, but never done anything with it. You went the extra mile, and maybe it did not work out the way you intended. You learned a lot from this, which never would have happened if it just stayed as an idea.

If I ever do anything 1% as creative as that, it'll probably be the best I ever do, and I'd probably go on about it all the time. Barnaby? "Nah; this was a failed attempt." You have so much creativity and tallent to realise your ideas that it is humbling. And so much humility about it that it humbled that humility. Hummhummhummbled. (There could be a song in that. 🤔)

That was incredible. Now just to lock that camera to the background completely and/or stabilize video. Plus block lighting from outside the box and just have small LED's inside. that will really sell the illusion.
