I've surfed since age 10yo. There was a time back in the 80s when flouro coloured kit was slightly popular, especially with Japanese surfers. But the majority of surfers did not like looking like a tropical fish and the look sunk fast.

A lot of parents of a certain age just cant let go of anything. Almost like they are in competition to be better than their children instead of helping them and allowing them to grow to be succesful. I see it all the time. I know it first hand!
