JenQuilts Cropping on Butler Robotics

In this tutorial I show you how to crop the sides, top, middle and bottom of an edge to edge pattern using the Bulter Robotics. Thanks for watching.
Pattern used is Diagonal Plaid by Patricia E. Ritter

Hi. Quick question. My butler locked up and i had to turn the robot off and then turn it back on. It adjusted my pattern box by moving it over halfway. How do i move my pattern box back to it’s original spot without messing up what was already quilted? Thank you for all the helpful videos.

Please turn your volume up on your videos, I have it at 100% and have to sit close to the laptop in order to hear it. Can you do more of these videos using the Butler Robotics System. It would be greatly appreciated for us Newbies. Thank you

Jen, this is awesome and I know a year old. You may not get my question, but I have a pattern that will have 2 boxes to crop out. I can't for the life of me figure out how to put in 2 boxes to crop and then I can't seem to get rid of them for the next row, which will also have some cropping. I really need more help on this.

Just found your videos. They are helping me a lot. My machine was not working for awhile. Several issues. Now it's working but the stitches are tiny. Any way to make them bigger? Any help or direction is most appreciated.

Thanks, Jen. Anxious to practice. Re: jump stitch. I am confused when I see the purple line appear when you add a row. If jump stitch is set at 10, will machine finish 1st row on right and then move to beginning across quilt without stitching said purple line? Will it do a lock stitch at end of first row and one at beginning of second row?

The purple line shouldn't stitch. It should knot off at the end of the first row and prompt you to cut the thread. Then it will do a lock stitch at the beginning of the second row.

If I'm cropping I don't use the quilt layout guide. I only use a quilt layout guide when I'm doing a border to border design that doesn't need to be cropped.

@@jenquilts8038, so how do you know how to fit the design to the whole quilt? How many passes of the design you need? I'm having the WORST trouble with this. I can't find all of the instructions, from start to finish, with ALL of the steps I need to do.

Jen, do you have a video that explains restarting a design in after a break in stitching? Example: restarting from a complete shutdown in the middle of stitching a design? There are quite a few questions about this in a FaceBook group. I thought that I had learned that from a video of yours, that I cannot find now. I was going to share to the group. I tried explaining what I do that works perfectly every time but so many others seem to disagree with my directions. Is this something that you are willing to do a video on? TIA

Rita, you can actually slowdown the video. In the upper right corner there is an icon that gives your some different options. One of those is to slow down the playback. Hopefully that can help.
