In case anyone runs across having the correct HSRP config on both R1 and R2 router and still getting the duplicate IP message and incorrect show standby output, wr mem the config and reload the routers. I was about to pull my hair out over this issue and this fixed it for me.

The lab does mention in step 4 to "Save the config first" before turning off the router, which can be done with "wr mem" or "copy run start". I didn't have this issue in my lab.

I just finished reading CCNA 200-301 both vol.1 and vol.2 cert guides, excluding all the topics that are covered in this series. And also finished the old CCNA wireless and CWAP, CWSP cert guides as well. Now reading CCNP/CCIE ENCOR 350-401 cert guide. I'm thinking about taking the exam early next month. Hopefully, I did the right thing. I had absolutely no idea about the networking concepts before I took this course. I tried some other udemy courses but nothing worked for me. So thanks a lot Jeremy. I owe you big time. And this is definitely the best course on CCNA out there. I really appreciate your work.

Sounds like you're in a good position! If you can spare the cost, maybe try out Boson ExSim and see how you do on those before going for the real thing. If not, just review the exam topics list again, and if you feel comfortable with all of it, go for it!

Jeremy. As someone who finished all your videos. I feel confident day by day, what was your biggest motivation in achieving your ccna / ccnp etc? Is consistency the key to your success? or hard grinding hours and hours. thanks :D
@JeremysITLab
@JeremysITLab 3 жыл бұрын
My motivation was to change jobs! I was teaching English and didn't like it, so I wanted to get my CCNA/CCNP to switch into networking. I'd say consistency is more important than just grindings hours and hours, although you have to put in a lot of time to get these certifications, that's unavoidable.

Have you considered to make lab videos only on Boson NetSim instead on packet tracer ? I think those labs on Boson are more challenging than in packet tracer, so we can study more from those labs and you can spend the same time (20-25 minutes) to make the full lab from boson.

Download the latest version of packet tracer from Cisco and you'll be able to open all the labs.

Haha nope, same mic. I guess my 'regular' voice is just different than my 'script-reading' voice haha. Go spend some time with your wife!! ;)

I am still being shown the duplicate address messages even if i change the versions to 2 or even 1. Is this an error or anything else? I have tried it for 3 times and it still shows the message again and again. @JeremysITLab
