Did you know that the guitar player is Kiko Loureiro? Nowadays he is playing in Megadeath.

And the first lead singer from Angra ,Andre Matos, is just unbelievable awesome. He is just incredible, there is not so many reactions of him performing in youtube. I suggest you react to SHAMAN-Over Your Head / SHAMAN - Fairy Tale where his performance is really impressive.

The original singer is André Mattos. Hes one of the greatest musicians Brazil ever had. And his amazing talent was the main reason why Angra became so great and known around the world. I'd rank: 1) Villa-Lobos; 2) Tom Jobim; 3) André Mattos. All the vocalists after André were good, but André is the greates. Falaschi and Lione would need to invent a whole new musical genre to be compared to him.

hey man, nice reaction! I just wanna paste a comment that I made in another angra reaction video here because it summarize everything i want to say haha hope you read it and take the recommendations in consideration! "hey guys! as a brazillian i want to say how happy i am seeing you two discovering Angra, they represent our country to the world and make us very proud. Yes they are a power metal band but also have very different facets to their sound, they incorporate more heavy and progressive styles in some songs and also bring a lot of traditional brazillian cultural music in the mix. their second album Holy Land is the best example, it's a concept album about the colonization of Brazil and it has a very rich and complex sound. If i may give you guys some more recommedantions i would say listen to: Hunters and Prey - a kind of brazzilian folk metal, very different and beautiful Carolina IV - a 10 minute epic very progressive and well arranged Lisbon - a power ballad with amazing solos The Shadow Hunter - another epic with spanish acoustic guitar and beautiful melodies Black Widow's Web - from their recent album. much more heavy and modern featuring Sandy (a brazillian pop singer) and Alissa White Gluz from Arch Enemy. They released an amazing video just two days ago. You guys are amazing and I hope you can listen to more Angra to understand how creative they are and the richness of our culture. Cheers \m/"

The drumming might not sound as "crisp" due to the era they were recorded in. This is from 1996 whereas the "Rebirth" recordings were from 2001. The drummer here later replaced the second drummer, rejoining Angra. Some people had an issue with the second drummer sounding "robotic", but rest assured the drummer here is just as good, as he played in Angra before him and after him.

Man, fisrt of all, great react to a great song. Since you're starting to dig some Angra, you definitly should check others heavy bands from Brazil. Listen to Hangar, Aquiles Priester's band. Check The Hangar of Hannibal from their 2016 Full-length "Stronger than Never". I'm sure you gonna like it.

Very well chosen. I personally prefer this singer Andre Matos, I came to the comments to suggest Shaman and I see I'm not even gonna be the first to do that. it's safe to pick any song in the album Ritual, maybe Here I am or Distant Thunder or Time will Come, but basically any song in there

Dude I wouldn't call Angra power metal despite having some PM elements. Only if you don't know Angra you call Angra power metal. It's more like a progressive metal band.
@frankcampos88035 жыл бұрын
this singer is actually better
@andreimatheus52825 жыл бұрын
I think you're saying he had a voice that fits very well to this kind of sound that Angra used to play. Such as Edu for the 2000's albums they've made. Ain't no such thing of "someone is better than some other folk." That's a totally BS. The kind of thing only a 'snowflake' would've said. Man, please, let's just stop this kind of thing. Peace.
