Someone said they thought Jerry Lee;s country sings/ plays better as a country singer, then R & R. I like both, but he was/is a phenomenal country singer; especially Don Gibson's song: Another Place, Another Time. It will make you cry, his voice is beautiful on this recording. Unbelievable voice. I knew him as the Great Balls of Fire, and other like songs. All are great. He is really a musical icon--his own style and talent.

I saw the Cambridge Show and Southport show as well as the Wembley Show here. Jerry of course played a longer show that was originally broadcast, but always produced something extra special for London and the cameras. Northampton had the venues management moaning that the Piano was wrecked for a classical concert that was scheduled. Jerry at some point on this tour swopped the Grand Piano for Moetta’s Electric Piano.

@@LEEFORDJAGG I saw all 6 UK shows on this tour. Cambridge, Bridlington and Newport was fantastic, Northampton was plain weird, Wembley was average, and Southport was a bit below par (poor sound and Jerry tired & grumpy). Also saw all 6 UK shows in 1983, which probably had the edge musically, despite more showmanship in '87!
