I'd say running at least 1 main is almost certainly worth it when you can dig for it as quickly as this deck can, though if you're playing Bo3 you might be able to get away with just having it in the sideboard. You definitely want 2-3 in the 75 in any white control deck for sure.

This deck is super fun! Been playing it a ton since the deck list dropped yesterday, has a great win rate and doesn't really seem to have many bad matchups. I did take out 1 warden 1 teferi and 2 sunset revelry for 2 wandering emperor and 2 more removal spells. Have experimented with destroy evil but found it too narrow so I've been running torch breath as an uncountable answer to djinn

I dig the quick intro dude, to be honest. I can appreciate your deep insight into why each card is in the deck, but getting right into the gameplay and seeing how you use them at different times is great too!

I like the longer intro. Variety is the spice of life so I don't mind this new format, but it'd be a bummer if we didn't get the deeper analysis in the future.

I prefer the intros personally. Plus you can always skip ahead if you don't so there's not much of a downside to having them. I'd guess this week its based on squeezing out as much time as possible so he can go to the event in Vegas.

I like the longer intros but I know he’s recording several videos in a row before traveling, so if this helps I have no problem with it. Also, at this point in the format, unless the deck is running cards we never see otherwise, it’s mostly a recombination of existing ideas and synergies, so the shorter intro feels just fine. Some decks need more explaining than others, this was reasonably straightforward.

@@Wojtek36762 I agree that if this helps him bang out some videos, go for it. I disagree that *your knowledge* of the format should be the basis for a content creator. Plenty of people come into a format late and look for more informative content creators to watch and catch up.

Sunset revelry has been by far the best card for me for the last few weeks. It's astounding how much mono red and gruul you see in casual queue. Gruul I can get, but I don't understand people who actually find mono red fun.

Generally, the only point of running mono-red is to get your daily wins in quickly. If aggro is going to win, it'll win fast; in the time that midrange might take for a single win, aggro will have three wins and two losses.

Cgb you've gotta try this control deck I built!!!! This deck will destroy any go wide strategies there is!!! As much as I agree about temporal storm the best board wipe in the format is actually path to peril! It's a three mana board wipe that destroy all two mana creatures and it has cleave that lets you play it for wb4 and kills everything. It has the value engine of shejeki and urborg repossession and uses phyrexian missionary to maximize on synergy of all the stuff in the graveyard. I copied this deck but replaced the Warden by the Arbiter. The warden alone is stronger, but if you copy the Arbiter, multiple Arbiters feel way stronger than multiple Wardens. Very fun to play.

Couldn't you've chosen to phase out a creator other than warden, to keep an extra creature? The shield counter would've prevented the damage

I feel like this is really a Teferi deck more than it's a Temporal Firestorm deck and instead of running a bunch of two-drops that do nothing but buy time (Spiritied Companion and Sunset Revelry) it should instead be playing some counterspells and some Reckoner Bankbusters, which are both excellent with Teferi.

Yeah, I must admit I thought "this thing is probably too expensive to be good" when I first saw it spoiled, but it's been consistently powerful since it got released! It's easily the overall best 6 mana creature in standard right now, though there are a couple others which might be slightly better in very specific decks - Kairi and All-Seeing Arbiter for reanimator come to mind. It's also pretty cool how perfectly it counters Lilliana of the Veil - you make tokens to fodder to her -2, you draw cards to have more things to throw to her +1, and you also just have a big flying monster to kill her if required. The shield counter even blocks a lot of the removal that black decks run!

I feel like Jeskai needs a better sweeper than Firestorm. The enchantments deck scales too quickly and without black we don't really have a doom-blade effect.

Firestorm the best sweeper? Not sure about that, I get that it also hits Planeswalkers and you can phase something out but that costs a lot of mana. I personally prefer Depopulate, it costs less mana and destroys everything unlike Firestorm that only does 5 damage which sometimes may not be enough. I'd even choose Farewell over Firestorm, exile everything except Planeswalkers.

@@dunkindognuts3345 You think I care about letting my opponent draw one card "if" they have a multi-colored creature, when my control deck has double perhaps triple the card draw power that they do? I'll gladly wipe their entire board, and some creatures that Firestorm can't kill in exchange for letting them perhaps draw a card. Plus a 4 mana board wipe is better against aggro and fast midrange decks that can end the game before your turn 5 to cast Firestorm. Weird.

@@rc2788 yes an no it's not one card it's a card per and you can draw all the cards if you want as long as your life total is zero I could care less, I've played against many a depop and I can say as a smart player who doesn't play into it you'll regret depop in this super friends meta

@@dunkindognuts3345 You better read Depopulate's text, it isn't one card per multi-colored creature. It's one card per player who owns one. You're going to regret having Firestorm over Depopulate when your opponent has a board or creature with over 5 toughness.

100% disagree, having devastating mastery AND farewell in the format at the same time made playing against control absolutely miserable when diversifying threats made absolutely zero difference

That's a horrible idea, there are already a ton of cards that can destroy or interact with artifacts and enchantments in the format.
