The polymer clay leaf cane is one of the oldest polymer clay techniques around. It's also an important stepping stone when learning how to create complex canes.

Only just started out my new hobby, and my tutor told me about Samantha and her wonderful tutorials, I am stunned by some of the work she turns out, and enthused that some day I may be able to manage a fraction of her skill.

What a coincidence! A couple of days ago I felt compelled to give the wishingwell workshops idea of pivot colors a try. I loved all the colors made from it and was making leaf canes with them yesterday. That's a really smart idea to keep the cane in a triangle shape. I had thought of me keeping mine round too. All the beads at the end were absolutely gorgeous.

The first leaf looks similar to an ivy leaf, well done for great explanations and sharing your skills, and other leaf's you have done, very interesting.

Another great video. Thanks for showing some beads/pendants made with the leaf canes. I don't cane much because I can never figure out how to integrate them into my design esthetic. You just gave me some ideas, so I may be caning after all.
