I also had a baby during covid who was diagnosed with silent reflux. It was so so hard not having any help or any family able to help us. I am a first-time mom so I wasn't able to have your perspective of understanding this too shall pass. Thankfully it did around 3-4 months old. In the moment it felt like it would last forever. I so wish I could go back and tell myself that you will be okay, your baby will also be okay. I'm so glad you are providing that perspective for anyone coming to your channel now with a baby in covid, especially if that baby has reflux.

Thank you for being so open, honestly I’ve been told by mom’s that you are never truly ready for kids. Covid made me realize I am definitely not ready for kids, especially with many things are so uncertain (job security, not able to see family/ get the help I need) etc ☹️

Jessica-- your testimony is very similar to mine. I was saved at 15 and during that time I was struggling with anorexia and self harm. Thank you for being so vocal about your testimony. It really encourages me to be more open with others. I don't struggle with those things anymore (by the grace of God) but I still find it hard to talk about. So thank you! My husband and I are expecting our first baby in March (a baby girl) and seeing you with your babies and hearing your story just shows how much the Lord loves us all-- He can redeem us. Thank you 💖

My husband and I have been so blessed during this season of COVID! We bought our house the week it all started, and we got pregnant in July! We have both been able to work from home and keep our full incomes. I have missed family gatherings and am unsure how it will look when baby comes. But we have been able to stay home and stay safe. The worst thing that has happened to us is that our favorite restaurants have shut down preeminently. But we are very aware how blessed we are that that is our greatest loss.

Wow, you’re amazing Jess. I have a baby that is a month older than Jules and I also have a very similar story with how my beliefs in god developed. I also struggled with Ed’s & self harm and wondered if god was real which lead me into a long journey of self discovery. I also went into with similar thoughts. am now Christian and have believed in God since 17- not very traditional in the way I do things but my beliefs in the Lord are very strong💛 love your vids & the group🧡🧡🧡

You have such a calm presence and I just love listening to what you have to say! Hearing you speak about Jesus and that verse spoke to my heart. I did not grow up with any religion and always prayed on my own and believed but that was it. No church and certainly didn't mention my prayers to anyone, and unfortunately since it just was that way with my family I am still the same way. Refreshing to see that you are so open about it. Pray that I get there, especially for my children. I don't even know where to begin because understanding the bible is tough. I have attempted a few times to understand it all but end up giving up which is so sad to admit. Thank you for sharing your story and being vulnerable. Congrats on your beautiful new baby and happy holidays :)

My baby boy got silent reflux around 3-4 weeks, his painful cries in combination with bad latching / breastfeeding made for some horrendous nights. After each feeding, carried him around for 30mins before he would be vaguely ok... BUT! It passed, I barely remembered the symptoms when recently someone was asking for advice. It feels like ages before you get there but you WILL get there, it won't last forever, and there are parents out there who hear you and sympathise with you. You can do it. Your baby will forget this pain soon❤️

@@Kingatje Wow thank you SO much for your words of encouragement!! Today I reminded myself that while I won't miss the horrendous nights, I will miss being able to hold all of her in my two arms, and for us this special time comes together with the challenge of reflux. That helped me take some deeper breaths and move through it. Thank you again for seeing and encouraging me!!

Please read people’s comments here. Eg, two people have stated that a chiropractor resolves their baby’s reflux. My little girl is six weeks old and was six weeks premature and we have also not been sleeping due to reflux but I’ve cut out wheat and dairy (only been five days, it’s just a trial) and it seems to be getting better already! Also look into “digestion overload”. My point is, it may not be something that you have to just wait to pass, keep seeking information and help! Good luck
@Kingatje

@@jessicavergara1932 That's fair: I didn't mention that for us, cutting out dairy, going to an osteopath, trying thicker milk, and then trying mashed veggies a bit earlier than usual (4.5 months) all didn't help... but that for others it definitely could! For me, at the time all these tips gave hope and quickly took that hope away too, but you're right that parents need to keep trying and looking for solutions and it doesn't have to be a waiting game! ❤️

My boy was 4 weeks early and it was just like that with the reflux. 😔 With us it was due to iron deficiency (babies build their ironsupply in the last 10 weeks in the womb) and with us it stopped after 7 months, when we got an iron supplement. I later found out it was a mistake that we didn't get that from the start, so hoping you guys have it. ❤️ My tips for the reflux: Get a babycarrier if you don't have one. I prefer woven wraps over like actual backback type carriers, but many people like those better. Lift her bed with books etc. so it is in an angle and her head is higher than her legs. Cut out dairy. With us it helped before the iron supplement, even though he didn't have an allergy etc. I guess their tummies don't take it so well when there is irritation from the reflux. Sending love and hugs ❤️

Even though there are a lot of different views within Christianity about "smaller" details... the foundation is always Jesus. He is the one who died so that we could live for eternity. Jesus is God's son who died so that we also could become God's sons and daughters aswell. I grew up in a Christian home- my dad is a Christian teacher and author, my father in law is the pastor at my church. Both my parents went to Bible colleges and I went to Christian schools... my point is... after all of that, I've come to realise that it's easy to base your faith on what you hear people say and teach. It is very important to seek God for yourself- this life truly is between you and your creator. God just wants to know that you want Him in your life- He already wants you. The angels already had a rebellion, God doesn't want that to happen again with the one's He created to be His children. As long as you accept Jesus as your savior, get to know God by reading His word with Him, and treat other's with love- you're set!

My doctor with my now 20 year old said her acid redux was ‘Normal’ but when she had her two months shots and it became much worse, coupled with nonstop screaming for two months, I knew it was ‘something’ else. I believe, based on my research and an entirely different, wholistic approach with subsequent children, who developed none of the issues my first daughter had, that the artificial immune response and ingredients in her vaccinations were the cause of her acid reflux and ‘colic.’ My pediatrician at the time must not have been aware of the ingredients and/or the listed side effects of vaccinations. Several of the ‘lessor’ side effects have to do with her exact symptoms of a compromised micro biome etc. She later developed endocrine issues and severe anxiety (also common side effects of vaccinations.) We have since detoxed and supplemented my oldest daughter who has throughout the years, steadily improved. She still suffers the damages though. I hope this helps anyone who is preparing to have a baby, or who has a babe with issues that your pediatrician says are ‘normal’ or who may even be prescribing or recommending medicines to treat instead of cure the underlying reason. Many of the things they recommend for treatment are actually more damaging in the long run. This doesn’t mean your doctor is bad, it just goes to show that they do not have a whole health approach and also they do not have but maybe a short chapter of nutritional training in their lengthy amount of education. In my opinion, and that of our now holistic practitioners, allopathic doctors and pediatricians need more nutritional training as well as immune system education. They also need more education on the need and efficacy of vaccinations, as well as the side effects listen in the manufacturer’s inserts, not to mention all other medications they recommend or prescribe. For instance, we have learned through our current whole health doctors, that there are genetic mutations that nearly half of the world population has, that can greatly impact the immune response and methylation of the ingredients of vaccines. Many of these common mutations can lead to encephalitis which can lead to massive regressions. Etc. I personally believe whole heartedly, that tests for these mutations should be ran before any inoculations are ever given. Also, parental and even farther back, issues need to be noted and considered. Such as asthma, eczema, neurological issues, and autoimmune issues. All of these things should be instantly part of the informed consent process that is severely lacking in allopathy today. It is very unfortunate that this is not common practice considering “First do no harm.” For instance, pediatricians prescribe Tylenol for pain and fevers, and this is extremely harmful for several reasons. The first being that a fever is the body’s natural way of healing, and it is very necessary. Stalling it by lowering it when it is not necessary, only prolongs the illness and often makes it worse. The second, but most important, is that Tylenol depletes the body of its major, and crucially important antioxidant, Glutathione. I could go on and on for days. But if anyone has any questions, I am more than happy to share what I know. I hope this can help someone so they don’t have to go through what I went through, and what millions of mamas needlessly go through, simply because of inadequate training and education on their doctor’s part. At the end of the day, trust your GUT mamas. You have that instinct and sense for a reason, trust it and don’t let your doctors bully you or guilt you. They work for YOU, not the other way around. God Bless!!!

Hey! I’m a first time mom and I want to know a bit more about this. Could I have your email so we could talk there?

This is such an incredibly DANGEROUS and unqualified comment to leave, especially to entice new moms to become anti vaccine. It’s extremely scary to come across people like you.

@@hannahdisilvestro5898 Sure, ritadmora@yahoo.com I can link you to doctors, scientists and peer reviewed studies. I am not a doctor but I have a lifetime of experience and a wonderful team of doctors that our family loves and trusts. I can point you to studies and to scientific journals etc. you can glean information and talk to your doctor about it, should they be open to you asking them questions. Thankfully, our doctors are very caring and believe in informed consent and first do no harm, so we have an open, healthy relationship regarding what is actually best for our family.

@@dorit33 If you would care to politely discuss which part of my comment is ‘incredibly dangerous’ I would be more than happy to speak with you. Please do not hurl accusations and make assumptions that are unfounded and untrue. It isn’t helping anyone. We are free to think about and discuss these topics without this kind of fear mongering and disrespect to our intellect. This is also not your page, and I have the utmost respect for this wonderful mama whose page it IS. Take your negativity and propensity for arguing elsewhere please. With all due respect.
