Here is a fun unboxing and hand building class in one. First, I share my two newest rolling pin designs. Then I show a simple and easy way to make a plate using GR Pottery Forms and a plastic or paper plate as a template. This class is perfect for beginners or for those that just want to make their own plates.
Materials:
4 lbs of clay rolled out to a 3/8” thick sheet. I am using Laguna bmix without grog
8”- 8.5” plastic or paper plate to use as a template
6.5” circle GR Pottery Form
Texture Tools, I am using my Spring Bunny and Mushroom Rolling Pin
Ware board
Clay Knife, I am using the Dolan 220s,
Flexible ribs, I am using the Large Yellow and medium #1 Red Sherrill mud tool
Sponge
Bowl or bucket of Water
Serrated rib
Clay Shaper/Color shaper
1/4'” flat Soft Bristle Brush
Foot maker
Weight bags
Kiln, your own or access to one
