Totally amazing!! Jesse Dixon, Stephen Hill, Ms Lillie Knauls, so many of the Gaithers Vocal Band, their Homecoming videos have carried me through from 2016 until today,the future. Losing my daughter/granddaughter stopped my life. So many struggle with grief, loss. We are forced to confront violence, drugs,alcohol and we can’t find a reason for the pain. We know the Lord is not the giver of heartache and pain. It is caused by Satan. I pray the Lord sees the struggles of our loved ones and knows their hearts. The Lord gives us the power of choice. There are so many who are mentally, physically, and genetically challenged and Jesus know this and he will be there waiting for them as well.

Beautiful, flawless, rendition of this soulful gospel song to which everyone who has ever lost a loved one, especially a parent or both parents, can deeply relate. Brother Jesse Dixon and the Choir did full justice to this beloved classic. I had hoped Bro. Jesse would outlive me, and that I could meet him one to tell him what a beautiful blessing he has been to my life; but I guess that day will have to be delayed until I, too, cross that Jordan and "Wake Up In Glory!" Mike, you're not alone. Most of us who go to church are just like you, struggling day in day out. But I tell you this, and listen very well....The burden is so much lighter when you embrace Jesus. Your total reformation begins the very moment you give your life to Him. I warn you though, it's not magic. It takes time, patience, humility and total commitment. I recommend a few more songs for you 1. Am amazed, 2. God's favorite song, 3. I am saved (all by brooklyn tabernacle choir). I'll reach you again when you reply to this comment. Stay blessed

Mike Borrego I just read you response. I too love to hear Pastor Dixon sing because he sang those old songs you no longer hesr in these days. I am praying also for your spiritual connection either Jesus led in your life. through songs. And, hope that the Lord healed you from the enemy out there to destroy our young . it was your first step out and I hope that Jesus was able to hold you I His arms until your light begun to shine. All of us reach that age in which this song of praise tears the heart apart, at least for moments. But, here, Rev. Dixon makes us aware of what we all must prepare for. Sometimes it comes too early and we wonder and are angry; sometimes it is too late and we see and feel such physical suffering to cross that Jordan. But God knows the time better than we ever will.

Eva Mae Lefevre and I wrote I Stood On The Bank Of The Jordan. The song was written in Flemish. It was written for the funeral of her son Mylon Lefevre. He was broadsided by a semi truck driven by Robert Whitmer who was a son-in-law of Gloria Gaither. Mylon Lefevere had a nomination for a Dove Award but he didn't want to be involved with sex trafficking. He died in 1991.
