Reverence is lacking in most parishes today. People act like it’s social hour; talking texting, playing on the phone, dressed like they were headed to Walmart or the beach. Very sad. God requires only one hour of our week and very few give Him that time….

I learnt a few new things - "going to the other side" was more than just travelling to another town. This underlines the importance of evangelisation. And yet we now have a "pope" who gets angry when someone converts another to Catholic. I'm lost for words.

It's not the real Pope....an actor...the Military removed the Pope long ago and I sure hope the censor police leaves the comment...it's time for disclosure. Catholics must wake up.

@@videonmode8649 You can check up on what I say - (1) A prominent Anglican bishop, Tony(??) Palmer, early in the pontificate, had a meeting with "pope" and said he wanted to convert to Catholicism. "Pope" said - don't. Palmer hesitated. 6 months later, Palmer died in a motorcycle crash. Now, we know he was Anglican, and also had "baptism of desire". But imagine telling someone not to convert, and that person loses his soul? (2) A South American woman, at Vatican meeting, happily said she had converted 2 of her friends. "Pope" was angry and admonished her for "disturbing their peace". Go double-check all these, and more, and don't be misled by this "pope of mercy" who shows no mercy to traditionalist mothers and grandmothers of priests, who walked from France to Rome with thousands of petition letters. The "pope of mercy" who gave 2 audiences to James Martin, met with basketball star, gave honorific titles to pro-abortion Italian legislators; meanwhile Cardinal Zen stood outside, not let in, for 3 days, then flew back to HK to face China's charges, the first Dubia - based on EXACT wording of the Catechism, goes unanswered. Please educate yourself on who you are following..... "My sheep hear my voice" says Jesus. This ain't the voice of a shepherd.

God works all things to the good. Nothing in this universe is without its merit, be it Protestant or even pagan. Natural grace exists and the goodness of the Lord can be seen anywhere.

excuse me but i duslike the idea or notion to think if jesus as dangerous. Instead, i think of him as powerful, not dangerous. Yes he could be dangerous but because he is good and loving, he is not dangerous, at least to us.

Our LORD JESUS CHRIST is Perfect and I disagree that HE is dangerous. HE is very merciful, forgiving, understanding, patient, compassionate and loving!

@gracem6943 i understood it, i just have an issue with the fathers wording. Jesus and or god doesnt wants us to fear him..thats completely the opposite of what he wants and choosing that type of language will lead some people to believe that.

Dangerous: able or likely to cause harm or injury He is, by definition, dangerous, the most dangerous person to ever exist, in fact. Do you think He was put to death for His mercy? His patience? His love? “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Not only is He dangerous when we incur his wrath and justice, following Him is a dangerous task. Both historically and today. We aren’t called to pick up our cross to have a safe and easy life.

@@d0uble_O fear is exactly the right word. Fear here means awe, love, reverence, respect not scared. It’s called fear of the Lord.

A good homily but more gravity needed in the delivery given the seriousness of the message. Sorry but the priest sounds like he’s explaining a cartoon to a child.
