Yeah, this film was made by Italians back in the 70's so maybe they felt for Christ to be more serious. Matthew was another great Jesus film that portrayed Christ much more jovial from time to time. Great comment, God bless!

@@FlockOfYahweh Unfortunately, Christians have a long standing habit of arguing over semantics. Jesus really simplifies everything for his followers because he realizes that they don’t have the physical or spiritual IQ to comprehend what he’s trying to teach them. Think of all of the times in the Gospels where the writer says that “they couldn’t understand what he was saying”. He simplifies everything to loving GOD and loving your fellow man. All this other doctrine debates, really popped up a few hundred years AFTER Christ lived. This is how Satan has infiltrated the church and tainted it. Anything related to Constantine, the Council of Nicea, the Catholic Church, the Protestant Reformation, etc need to be cast aside. These organized European movements are run by Satan and set up to confuse the people. As long as we are arguing about what the title “Christ” entails and the roles of the Trinity we’re not focused on loving one another and defeated our own egos. We’re aren’t focusing on being servants, but rather on being right. It’s a trick of the Enemy and it’s worked. Just look at how many millions of people have died and suffered at the hands of the Church. Some of the most evil and demonic men who have ever lived have utilized GOD and scriptures to justify doing evil. I’m very grateful that we are at the latter stages of this cycle and the return of Christ will fulfill all righteousness. Indeed many of the first will be last and many of the last first. I tell you the truth, nine out of ten people who really believe that they are saved are in for a shock.
