Welcome to this condensed version of Franco Zeffirelli's biblical story of Jesus drawn from the classic film Jesus of Nazareth (1977). The complete uncut film runs over 6 hours which is difficult to fit into most people's busy and sometimes chaotic lives today. So enjoy this condensed version! And if you are only somewhat familiar with the life of Jesus of Nazareth, may it expand your understanding of his life, death, and resurrection.
And most importantly, If you have not received forgiveness for your sins and asked Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior, it's not complicated or hard. Every single follower of Christ has been in the same position as you and have done the same thing... simply from your heart let him know you're sorry for your sins, short comings, and failures. Ask for forgiveness from those sins and ask him to come into your life and change your heart and to give you strength and to lead you on this new path you have now started. There's no magic involved or magic words to say, just cry out for forgiveness and mercy from your heart in truth and he'll hear you and meet you right where you are. Every time I watch this movie I always love this scene. You can see that these particular Pharisees along with the main characters: Simon The Sadducee & Joseph of Arimathea, greatly respect Jesus having realised that there’s something more about him. They understand fully that his words have a great impact on the people. Plus Joseph of Arimathea evidently becomes his disciple in secret.

This is the man I love. that image made me cry because, you don't feel worthy, a monster to look at something so pure .than to see her as a human when noone will .I'm get bathtized again soon

This passage and the roman soldier are my favorite, even as a atheist i must admit there is quite a loth of wisdom in new testament. I always view the Jesus teachings as he want a evolution of the religion. To grow up not being kids that have to follow rules but adults that do the right thing because they want to not because they have to. Do the right thing not because of god and fear of hell but because you are inspired to be like god. Do the right thing because you want to help spread love and peace. It sound bit like communisms in some instances like take only what you need and such, dont have wealth and money be just convenience means of trade. Even if you strip the teachings of religion they still are sound on moral and practical merit.

Why don't people understand that Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute? She was an adulterous woman, not a prostitute. She was married to an old man, whom she cheated on with a young man. He came with witnesses to Jesus, who was himself a man of the law and a rabbi, to condemn her to death by stoning. And in those times there were prostitutes, who prostituted themselves freely, without being killed. But married women tarnished the honor of the family, especially the man, that's why they were killed. Mary Magdalene was the sister of Martha and the resurrected Lazarus. She was also rich according to the divorce decree, because her family in Brittany was rich. Her husband was from Magdala, therefore she was called Magdalena. Jesus did not ask for her death, he set her free as by a divorce decree or court order. In those times, the rabbis and elders of the temple also had this power, to send to death or to pardon. Jesus himself was sent to the Roman court of Pontius Pilatus Our Orthodox do not like it when the scriptures are studied. How do you tell them something from the scriptures, they say you are repentant or sectarian. I'm Orthodox, that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to read the Bible. If you want to find the evidence of what I said, prove yourself that you know all this, you who know it all. "This people asks for a sign" said the Savior, who was always asked for signs...""You are lost, not knowing the Scriptures" he said to the learned in particular, because the people were poor and among the poor, most were illiterate.

De ce nu înțeleg oamenii, ca Maria Magdalena nu a fost i prostituata? Ea a fost o femeie adultera, nu o prostituata. Era căsătorită cu un bărbat bătrân, pe care l-a înșelat cu unul tânăr. Acesta a venit cu martori la Iisus, care era el însuși un om al legii si rabin, ca sa o condamne la moarte, prin lovirea cu pietre. Si in acele vremuri existau prostituate, care se prostituau liber, fără a fi omorâte. Dar femeile măritate pătau onoarea familiei, in special a bărbatului, de aceea erau omorâte. Maria Magdalena era sora Martei si a lui Lazăr cel înviat. Ea si după cartea de despărțire era bogata, pentru ca familia ei din Bretania era bogata. Bărbatul ei era din Magdala, de aceea i se zicea Magdalena. Iisus nu a cerut moartea ei si a lăsat-o libera ca printr-o carte de despărțire sau hotărâre judecătorească de divorț. In acele vremuri, rabinii si marii templului aveau si aceasta putere, de a trimite la moarte sau de a gratia. Iisus însuși a fost trimis la judecătoria romana a lui Pontius Pilatus Ortodocșilor noștri nu le place când se studiază scripturile. Cum le zici ceva din scriptura, zic ca ești pocăit sau sectar. Sunt ortodoxa, asta nu înseamnă ca nu am voie sa citesc Biblia. Daca vreți sa găsiți dovezile spuselor mele, dovediți-mi chiar voi, care le știți pe toate. „Poporul acesta cere semn" a spus Mântuitorul, care era mereu întrebat de semne...""Va rătăciți, neștiind Scripturile" le spunea el învățaților in special, pentru ca poporul era sărac si dintre săraci, majoritatea erau analfabeți.
