mmakram With Jesus of Nazareth Zeffirelli was striving to tell the story whilst trying not to offend anybody in the process. Unfortunately by doing so the Passion segment came off a little tame. Steiger's Pilate however is brilliant and very believable. I cannot see the real Pilate going out on a limb for Jesus like he allegedly does in John's gospel.

Praise Jesus...Peter reminds me so much of myself. He loved Jesus and was always the tough man of the Apostles but when it came down to it he was weak and very afraid. But Jesus saw through his weakness and knew Peter loved him and Peter was in despair at being a coward. How many of us would be the same especially when you knew the brutality of the Romans. Most of the Apostles never even saw Jesus Crucified because they went into hiding. Jesus always said that his biggest suffering was been abandoned by his friends. Hard to believe considering what they did to him torture wise. I think I will never fully appreciate what Jesus did for me till I die, only then will I realize what eternal death or hell meant and what Jesus did to save me from that, and what the Father did to allow Jesus to go through what he did for us all. Thank you God.

In the laws of the sanhedrin no trial under the teaching of the Torah could be l Held at night or especially before the shabbat . This entire farce was purely because they feared their zeitgeist being up turned. Even though they were living under the occupation of Rome in those provinces The metaphor of rending the cloak is a symbol of the resistance to change... they would rather rend their own cloths than listen to anyone else... Rome ended up drawing the short straw, owing to the fact that their "problem" couldn't be dealt with in quick time by their own people.. So it fell to pilate who was manipulated with threats to Rome and his own prefecture. The crucifixion itself is identifiable as a post configuration of moses holding alot the staff in the desert...

Two Simple Questions: Why did the Jewish Priests pay Judas to identify Jesus (Yeshua) when they as well as most everyone else knew who Jesus was and what He looked like? When the arrest party arrived, was it not Jesus who pointed out this very fact: "Jesus said to them, 'Have you come with swords and clubs to arrest me like you would an outlaw? DAY AFTER DAY I WAS WITH YOU, teaching in the temple courts, yet you did not arrest me.'" (Mark 14:48-49, Matt 26:55, Luke 22:53)? Jesus KNEW them... and, more importantly, they KNEW Him. Judas wasn't needed at all. So... what's really going on here?! Why was Peter warming himself by the fire outside Caiaphas' residence SITTING WITH THE GUARDS (Mark 14:54, Matt 26:58, Luke 22:55), the same guards who had just arrested Jesus ... and from whom Peter had fled in terror after assaulting one of the arrest party with a sword? And the obvious follow-up question: When recognized repeatedly, why didn't Peter flee the area... and why didn't the guards immediately arrest him on the spot?! So... what's really going on here?! Once you finally take the time to figure out the glaring answers to these two simple questions... the truth behind Jesus's REAL betrayal and His own "apostles'" full complicity in it becomes crystal clear.

@@missionforchrist9705 ... Thank you! I am frankly shocked you would respond as you have. Usually when I point out such fascinating historical conundrums on such faith-based vids as yours, I am berated for doing so. I have been exegetically studying the scriptures for several years now and have realized there is something very mind-blowing happening re: the historical Yeshua (Jesus) everyone has missed... the clues and solution to such in plain evidence also, right there in the Gospels hidden in plain sight. The questions I have asked are actually fully answered therein, but ... no one sees it. Additional questions fully answered no one sees: 1. Where's the evidence and who actually provided it that got Yeshua convicted of sedition?! 2. Why was it Caiaphas' own servant girl -- who would have been largely confined to Caiaphas' private lavish residence -- who recognized Peter... in the dark of night lit only by firelight... when no one else there did... and all despite the fact Peter was a stranger in Jerusalem?! 3. And if under arrest... why was Peter not in jail?! Why was he sitting with the guards AT Yeshua's trial... as "witnesses" were being led in to testify against Yeshua?! Hmmm... for that matter, where were all the OTHER "apostles" during that same trial?! 3. Who were the nameless "false witnesses" who were led in an who testified against Yeshua... yet whose testimony (we're told) was strangely declared "false"? Was it "false" ... or did the Gospel writers have great cause to dismiss it as such? AND IF FALSE... then what was it that convicted Yeshua both before the Sanhedrin that night... and, more importantly, also before Pilate that morning?!?!!! What are we all MISSING here?!?!!! Everything! Thank you for your kind response. :)

All are incredibly valid questions, you sound very much like me, as when I would go to church, the pastors would duck when they see me, I would have questions like, If Yeshua fullfilled the law and the law was done away with, then I would say, great I can go get a mistress in addition to my wife, and they never really had an answer for that as well as many other similar questions, I don't proport to know all the answers and if I did say I did, that would make me a liar. I find your questions and commentary legitimate. As you have been studying extensively, I'm sure you are aware that the hour is late, and the end times are no longer near, they are here. Signs in the heavens, 10 horns were added in mid August, the Daniel 9:27 confirming of a covenant with many on the edge at the UN. All is here right in front of us and right now, I am praying Luke 21:36 for escape, while paying attention to Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Key words there "begin to happen" and I certainly see the beginnings. Here is a well rounded recent message that really sums it up for me, I hope you will find it interesting as well as we see the day approaching.: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n8CPZrpml9qWkWQ.html Have a blessed day.@@FatherVampire

@@missionforchrist9705 ... Thank you again and great communicating with you. And, yes, it can be quite entertaining rhetorically fencing with dogmatists. And speaking of Yeshua fulfilling the Law (as claimed by Saul [Paul])... a question they really hate is: If Yeshua truly fulfilled the Law... why did He do nothing but promote the Law and obedience to it throughout His entire life (e.g., "rich young man" - Matt. 19:16-22)?! And, as key follow-up, if Yeshua fulfilled the Law... why did the "apostles" know nothing about this... and instead continued preaching nothing but obedience to the Law also? Hell, they even twice hauled Saul (Paul) up before them to answer for preaching contrary to the Law! Obviously, the "apostles" also lived as devout Jews after Yeshua's crucifixion... just as Yeshua had before them! Obviously, the Law was still in full force in their view! As for Yeshua's nature, mission and "second coming," these are deep questions we assume we have answers to ... that we do not. If the Gospels are not telling us the truth about Yeshua's "betrayal" and trials... then why do we drink down the "kool-aid" they feed us about who Yeshua was and what His REAL mission here was... and also about His supposed "second coming"? Oh, the answers ARE all right there staring us in the face from the Gospels... but, again... no one sees them. As example: We're told Yeshua was the prophesied Jewish Messiah... yet He failed every one of the Messianic prophecies... most glaringly, that of NOT being a patrilineal (father-to-son) descendant of King David. Yeshua had no Davidic father! Instead, His literal "begotten in the flesh" (i.e., biological) father was... the God of Israel, Himself! Please show me any Messianic prophecy stating the Messiah would be God's literal son! Instead, all we find are repeated declarations that the Messiah would be David's son (i.e., a patrilineal [father-to-son] descendant of King David). Thus, either Yeshua was the Son of God... or He might have been the Jewish Messiah. But He could NOT have been both. I call this: "The Christ Conundrum". And it is logically irrefutable. The best they can attempt is to try and claim Mary was Davidic. But here they fail miserably for not knowing Hebrew or the Jewish religion... for it is crystal clear ONLY a father-to-son Davidic descendant can be the Messiah. And that's the key reason why the Jews have never accepted Yeshua as that prophesied Messiah. Again... who and what Yeshua was is plainly discoverable once you see through the deliberate yet obvious deceptions by those falsely claiming to be His "apostles"... we find throughout the Gospels (I've already pointed out a few glaring ones re: Yeshua's "betrayal" and trials)... but good luck finding and unraveling them. :)
