He was born in 1939- 2013.... Ray an Jim knew each other as friends at school/ college! 1965: Ray an Jim ran into each other on a Californian 🏖 beach..from that day forward. They came together an put together one of America's Greatest Rock bands Ever to this day! No one can play the notes,as Ray can? Musicians have tried for years to pick up on his keys,notes played? But,not one has ever been able to Master it? He had a style of his own satus.. Ray had a massive impact on the sounds the DOORS came out with! ❤❤❤❤

Bought this at Amoeba in LA back in 83' when I was in HS. My circle of friends had diverse taste as we were a mix of heads (stoners), band geeks, stoner jocks, and general misfits. One of the group would make these amazingly twisted mix tapes fed from two turntables. We never seen anything like that before but he said he picked it up in Brooklyn around 81', nothing new. Guy would mix the Doors with Echo & the Bunnymen or Siouxsie & the Banshees with some Roxy Music, Uriah Heep, Johnny Cash, Camel, and Split Enz with some Kraftwerk tossed in for good measure.
