Some rooftop details revealed before construction commences!
The lesson here is get some pictures of the roof of your subjects when scratch building buildings. You never know what will be revealed! The roofs of our buildings are clearly visible to layout visitors and operators so it's worth getting it right.

Roof tops are hard to get references of a lot of times . Its good you had the capability to do that !!

I have to be careful about using my Dr0ne photos until I get my commercial license. Using it for YT is arguably for profit, if I ever monetize.

Great shots, i would of guessed the garage portion would of been a gravel roof.. good discovery that it wasnt.. Definitely dome good details for modeling

I'm sure the location is referenced but I've seen this kind of roof construction in New Mexico, it's pretty standard there and throughout the Panhandle of Texas. They coat the roof with white stone to reflect heat, when they repair they just use black roofing and tar, typically don't add back white and stone. Just subscribed to channel so I'm a bit behind. Excellent research.

Great observation. This building is in Grapevvine Texas - DFW area. Your comment very helpful as it tells me the white area neeeds to have some texture, while the black areas should be smoother. Thanks!
