In Level 3 (Sān Duàn, or 三段), you will finish up your learning of the key essentials of Taiji Zen. This is the last of the Beginner levels, after which you will have learned all the basic concepts!
Level 3 introduces the ‘Five Steps’ (Wǔ Bù or 五步), which are:
1. Jìn (进), or Advance Forward
2. Tuì (退), or Retreat Backward
3. Gù (顾), or Look Left
4. Pàn (盼), or Glance Right (taught in combination with Gù (顾))
5. Dìng (定), or Central Equilibrium
