I've always thought Ian was born way past his time. He would have fit right in during The Middle Ages.

Not sure about "fit right in" ...I always thought a lot of his lyrics were tongue-in-cheek insults to the Church Of England and the accepted "norms" of British high society. Free speech wasn't exactly a right back then. He would indeed be a master of the Lute, Lyre, Harpsichord and Flute. But I have a feeling he would be compelled to speak his mind in his songs. They would excommunicate him on his way to Sunday School which is nothing compared to what the King did Monday⚰

Someone just gave me a thumbs-up on my comment it just so happens I happen to be watching Jethro Tull from 1976 from Tampa Bay Florida just got it in the mail yesterday on DVD very hard to find if you're a jet Rotel lover try to find this DVD it is nothing less than fantastic picture and sound quality are superb with all his old band mates Martin Barre John glasscock John Evans Barry Barlow David Palmer this is volume one I'm going to try my hardest to try to find volume two

What a way to take a fine song and make it better!! Saw Tull for the first time in ‘72 during the Thick Brick tour and a couple of times thereafter. They always put on some of the best shows ever.

This is so cool...I have been a Tull Fan since the very first day I heard Aqualung. I saw them many times in concert. These days my thoughts always seem to be wonderment....wonderment for what in incredible and unique musician Ian was....and to me he is proof that this kind of talent you are born with - a gift from the gods for sure..... :-)

Love it. Love the musicianship too, although the arrangement is a bit rough. Also, Ian Anderson sings it so well, but the vocals on the record are another level.

First time hearing this song. Got really, really emotional with the instrumental part of it. KZfaq is getting worse every day with all those AD's, but it's great to be able to watch performances from before I was born so easily!! P.S.: Third time listening to this in a roll

Comprendo y comparto ese sentimiento por Jethro tull tengo lp originales de ellos, CDs originales, mp3 en cantidad es más tengo el Aqualung 1971 original, el stormwatch 1979,el crest of a Knave 1989,el roots to branches y otros más simplemente únicos e impresionantes pero falta Marti Barre en guitarras.

Great band, great performance. Ian does it again. I really enjoyed the solo's in this version. Who's on bass I wonder? I've always thought that Ian was always underrated as a guitar player. Some of his stuff like this and "One White Duck" are tough to play "correctly". Thank you!

The last time I played a soccer game was when my then 9 year old son was beating me 6-1 at halftime, so did the dad thing, rage quit, he is now 25 and we still have not played it again together. He understands, lol.

It is a parlor guitar, as a guitar player myself I can tell you they're not for everyone's taste, they have a distinct sound and as you can see they're much smaller.

He had to change his singing style for the fact he was getting older and his voice isn’t the same. His new music is just as fantastic, but just hits differently because I’m used to his voice from the 70’s
