Hate to disagree, but I think it's a Rossi Model 68, the cheaper copy of the S&W. The grips have a very distinctive grooving that runs around the grip, also the emblem on the grip doesn't appear to be the classic S&W logo.

1st off, I didn't realize how young you are 2nd , bro you are seriously one of the most respectful person I've seen on KZfaq. Keep up the great work and inspire more people to be like you. P.s. also let the local police know how to handle a firearm, it's kinda annoying that they don't treat it like it's deadly till you mention you haven't checked if it's loaded. They should always assume it's loaded. Just cuz it's old doesn't mean it can't kill.

It's the same thing as a gun not knowing it's loaded or not just because you can't see it. Doesn't mean it won't work the gun dried out and if there was a bullet there's a chance the gun powder is still inside or so.

I'm glad you put your gun away before calling. I've had some scary moments with CCW. let alone open carry. in my old town it was fine people open carried np, drive 20 min to the middle downtown / ne side and the cops are so paranoid.. ive been drawn on twice before i even had ccw, walking at night, cop called me over, i went over and didnt hear him say stop and he drew on me, made me get on my hands and knees, then hands up, 2nt time they got wrong house and had rifles on me, then after my ccw i got pulled over last week due to plates and so he didnt know i had my ccw cause plates werent mine apparently, i have them now he took em i contacted dmv, i knew to keep my hands on the wheel, ect, i turned lights on so he could see inside, but when asked for my id and stuff i didnt go slow, then when he learned i had my ccw he said if he ran my plates and saw i had a ccw and made a quick move to my stuff he would of acted different, then told me i was very lucky at the least to be arrested until they proved my info, my gun taken, he had to call my mom cause shes also on my title, told her i was lucky it was him cause their protocol for stolen vehicles or plates would be to draw on us LET ALONE a ccw. now i dont carry LOL

I definitely want to go diving or check out some Urban rivers with y’all or friends sometime... even if only to clean up trash. “Going out in a whim” is when you decided to go out on a gut feeling. “Going out in a limb” is when you are putting yourself at unusual risk for a specific reason/goal. I mean I understand Americans feel the need to protect themselves because gun crime is so high but do you know why it is? Because they allow guns. Sadly, its too late now because you cant just take away people's guns. Its a shame that he has to carry one with him.
