I’m 20 years younger than Jim and work as a programmer for a Fortune 500 company. I also can’t operate an Xbox/PS controller to save my life. If it has more than a d-pad and a few buttons, I’m out. I’ve just never been a gamer, so it’s not intuitive to me. It's pretty obviously in the game as a joke, but to me it says a lot that they'd joke about something that makes their own business look amateur.

I've started buying new games for the old systems from people like The Retro Room. I haven't played a newer type of game since Tony Hawk 1.

Yep sadly even with much bigger titles we still see the games being released in a much worse state. Like you have big games like Fifa and CP2077 who got released in a shitty state since they were full of bugs and glitches.

There's a recent trend of unfinished and early access crap being put out, but it's not considered a great thing that everyone has accepted. In this case, the AEW game isn't really pushing the boundaries either. The graphics aren't amazing, and the gameplay looks like a smackdown vs raw game from the 00s with a skin over it. From what I've seen, it looks like it might be fun. I don't care much for little glitches like this if the game is fun and it isn't too common. If this was a throwback game set in the attitude era, I'd have bought it and wouldn't care.

Yeah, I don't remember falling through the ring in WrestleMania 2000, and I've logged a bunch of hours there. I've always kinda assumed stuff like this is the price we pay for modern graphical fidelity.

This is an early access game thag was released at full price. It's shocking how bad aew and yukes ran this game to the ground. It's awful. I would wait 10 years to buy this, i wouldn't wait 20 if I were you. Unfortunately I was dumb enough to fall for the fake hype and bought this crap twice.

WWE 2K19 is considered the GOAT 2K wrestling game and this happened in that game. It almost looked liked guys were swimming in the ring. And flailing like the car dealership things that Bailey used to have during her entrance. That said, there's work to do. A LOT

I HATE that there are so many multi-man matches, and match types NOT in this game. No excuse for that!! Match-type wise, AT LEAST HAVE A REGULAR STEEL CAGE. This isn't Def Jam Vendetta, nor the Wrestle Kingdom Series from Japan. I'd argue the games I just named looked better graphically too. I HATE that you can only get FOUR wrestlers in the ring at once, when clearly, the standard SHOULD BE at least SIX. You can go the AKI route and STILL put 6 people in the ring.

The fact Omega has not spoken about the game post release shows they know it is a shit show.

I don't really mind the price as long as the content is worth it. This year has just been especially bad in terms of technical issues even an otherwise fantastic game in Jedi Survivor and Resi4 ran bad especially on PC.

Some of my 2K20 glitches were so hilarious I wish I had video of them. I threw someone against the ropes and their hair stayed in the air, floating, and they ran off without their hair. For example.

I played 2k20 and the first cutscene had my CAW reaching for a money in the bank case and it wasn't there. I didn't touch it after that.

And didn't Yukes pull some really shady shit when they stopped making the WWE games? I remember something about them half assing the last game because they knew they weren't going to get the license again or something along those lines.
