Steamboat told a story that when he suggested to turned heel in his WWF run, Patterson turned him down, reasoning that he could cut off Hogan’s leg with a chainsaw and the fans would say that Hogan deserved it.

Many people refer to the Alan Parson Project song, “Sirius” as the Chicago Bulls’ theme song. But we all know better!

I saw a seminar with steamboat where he described how a heel should act. During it he brought someone into the ring with him and chained with him a bit as a heel. Steamboat came across as very intense, it really was a sight to see

I don't think too many wrestling fans would have really bought into Ricky steamboat as a heel, it would just appear forced

I always loved Corny's reactions to phone calls in the middle of the show.

I liked that Steamboat never turned heel. I think there's real value to having someone who is that good, that doesn't have to go outside the rules to win, and is a clear example of 'how it's supposed to be'. Raven in ECW doesn't come across as especially heelish when he's fighting The Sandman, a guy who brings a bamboo sword into the ring. Raven against Steamboat? Instantly much different.

I had a chance to meet Ricky Steamboat a few years ago and was one of the nicest and most approachable wrestlers and legends I’ve ever met. Just an all around good person.

Steamboat is the greatest pure babyface wrestler that has ever been. The guy was an incredible wrestler and he could headline a major event and go 40-60 minute matches with ease. Stone cold said he was his favorite babyface and one of the top 5 /6 wrestlers ever. Steamboat VS Flair were epic matches - Steamboat Vs Macho man we’re classic matches. Steamboat had it all the look, charisma, mic skills all of it. He’s definitely in my top 10 of wrestling

Same reason it didn't work for Sting when he turned heel. Fans cheered him no matter what. The same happened when Austin turned heel against the Rock.

My favorite line from that WCW Steamboat theme is "I'm not saying women don't fall all over him, but he don't give in, he's a family man."

The thought of Bruno turning heel is hilarious. They would have burned down MSG (or any venue he was hot in).
