TORONTO -- Jeremy Swayman got the nod in net for the Boston Bruins in game 4. Something that hadn't happened since mid February.
After shining in a 28-save performance Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena, Swayman followed up with a strong Game 4 showing that helped the Bruins take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Sway is doing what he knows he can do...was pulling for him to get the shuttie last night...I hope he wins game five to put this series away....he deserves the start. Love how Monty is talking about the team.....and focusing on the guys...smart efficient coaching.

Swayman is a sive stop simping for him ullmark is the better goalie overall. Swayman shouldn’t even be in the show kids five holes is weak

The amount of hate this guy gets for having the best record in nhl history and then after loosing two bruin legends on center he comes back with getting the least amount of regulation losses should give him an 8 year extension tbh

leafs fan here. than man has taken a team that should have missed the playoffs this year to shitting on what should be a top tier team in the nhl. it truly shows how just a culture and a good, fitting coach can beat all the money and talent in the world

Disagree. Alternating goalie formula worked superbly over the last TWO seasons. Then, Monty abandons it during last year's playoffs, going with Ullmark every game & the B's got bounced in 1st round. Ya gotta dance with the gal ya brung.

@@acousticshadow4032 I’d agree if it was against any other team but swayman is dominant against the leafs next series it’s fine to do the rotation but against the leafs swayman is the only choice

@@acousticshadow4032 Last year Ullmark was hurt and Monty still went with him, IMO that was the mistake, not breaking the rotation. Sway has simply owned the Leafs all year, going with him has worked stellar.

When you have two quality goaltenders i dont think its a tough decision. he could probably flip a coin. Ulmark wasnt bad in game 2 and made some great saves. The rotation has warranted Bruins success for 2 seasons. Last year Ulmark got rattled after the losses to Florida in the playoffs and then going to Swayman in game 7 was way too late. So the old school way of riding the hot tender in the playoffs appears to be back. However i think they do use Ulmark if they advance. He has to play well to be valuable trade bait for next season and he does take up a lot of net.

Plus, by NOT playing Ullmark in his usual spot, they mess with his confidence. Long term (playoffs wise), it's a mistake to deviate from their winning recipe of alternating goaltenders. Big mistake. 🤔🏒🏒🏒
