Jim Rickards: economic freeze is here, get gold, silver if you can and get ready

We are potentially entering an “Ice-9” situation where the entire world may “freeze” over economically, said Jim Rickards, best-selling author of “The Road to Ruin” and “Aftermath: Seven Secrets of Wealth Preservation in the Coming Chaos.”
“If you shut down the New York stock exchange, and I can’t sell stocks and get cash, I’m going to sell my money market funds or redeem my money market funds. Then you’ve got to shut down the money market funds industry, and then people say ‘ok, I’ll go to the banks or the ATMs,’” he said. “And then you’ve got to shut down the banks so the point is, it spreads from exchange to money markets, to brokerage accounts, to banks, and you end up shutting down the entire system.”

Silver is actually a terrible investment. It is shorted so heavily and all of the people that went for Gamestop, AMC, Nokia etc.... Silver is the next stop. Only reason to buy silver is to continue this rampage and cash out when everyone inflates it.... But do not buy silver hopping to sit on it because if this financial renaissance keeps happening Silver will eventually be less valuable than a sheet of 8 by 11 paper. Seriously... Get in, make money, get out. If you plan to hoddle silver you will end up being the one holding the hot potatoes when it crashes... And sure as you were born it will if they go after it. Gold on the other hand is not shorted and is still a decent asset... relatively speaking

Gold and silver are worthless in a depression my Dad lived through the great depression and said goods were worth much more than gold like bullets booze and food and meds. Gold would only have a pay off if you make it through the depression and things improve.

Great interview as usual. Yes Jim, because of your research and advice, when i sold my small cabin in NSW Australia in 2015 i put the cash into silver and gold. Has been a safe haven for sure, bought in gold,1585.00 and silver around 17.00.AU. Thanks again for your advice. Stay safe. Everyone.

Jim, you're being deceptive on the mortality rate. That's only for people clinically sick with symptoms, and confirmed infection, per the recent Lancet paper. If there are a hundred asymptomatic infections for every one of those, the mortality rate drops a hundred fold. We don't know the number of asymptomatic infections right now, but here's a clue: A high ratio of famous to normal people infected. Famous people's doctors do whatever they want. For the rest of us, he'll measure our temp, listen to our lungs, and send us home without a test. So the number of infections is high, relative to tests administered. If we tested everyone, we'd probably find vastly more infected but not sick.

There a top Chinese virologist that worked in the WHO lab on CONVID-19 in HKG who is doing the rounds now spilling the beans that it was definitely a 'construct' and has nothing to do with nature.

A storage unit would work, mostly good security for a low price and you can get at it 24 hours a day. I have a couple of those places in walking or biking distance. If you do bury it in a cache, I suggest putting it in the middle of things like blackberries where people naturally do not go.

So, I'm watching this 8 months later on December 6th 2020. Rickards predictions and estimations were pretty much spot on. While he didn't get the election, he was right in that it was close....despite all the "blue wave" talk. With that, you can have confidence in listening to him now.
