Even now as I watch the 2023 World Cup , this is one of the most inspirational speeches of all time , and those players delivered, with their skill and determination, to succeed, and those words will forever inspire !

Best tour by far. So lucky that it was filmed. Telfer gave some of the most inspirational speeches ever. The standards the coaches set, the team talks, and Johnsons leadership definitely gave the lions the edge over one of the great springbok teams.

Best tour ever I'm old with cancer now I will go to heaven happy one day Sam Peter's the lioness 1997 was best year of my life and so many stories even had a red wine with Jerry guscott thanks for posting every one from that tour brothers and sisters

this is just incredible. The sheer intensity of the man and of some moments in particular is insane. Probably the best sporting moment caught on film - yes it is that BIG. I'm sorry but the likes of football just can't compete with this. It is spine tingling to watch never mind being there.

Look up the front rows in the 70s ........ Mighty Mouse, Pullin and Lynch in 71 .........Mighty Mouse, Windsor and Fran in 74 ...... Price, Wheeler, Fran in 77 ....... all better than 97
