I went to one-room school in the 50's and our teacher let us roam the 60 acres of woods behind the school. We would run back to the school when the teacher rang the bell. We never returned on time until I got a watch for Christmas. I am so thankful for those days.

Absolutely love the nature of Canada and if I were sixteen again I would be moving there. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do another visit. Safe traveling to you both.

Hey Jim, definitely an amazing lineup of episodes you got so not to discredit that, but this one was hands down the strongest of the bunch. Conversation was effortless, genuinely interesting and highly engaging as a listener. Would be great to have Kevin on the pod again in the future if you could (honestly even any of your previous guests), he's an ocean of insightful commentary and stories. Any chance we'll see Ted on Baird Country? Would be cool to hear what he's been up to while he flicks a booger at you or something.

This was such a great interview! I listened to every word! This guy is awesome!!!! His way of thinking is inspiring! I wish he had been my children's teacher. And the stories! I loved all of both of your stories! Thank you so much! 😂 Jim! Your reaction to the Scottish being better paddlers than Canadiens!!!! 😂 priceless! I kayak because it's easier. I didn't learn until I was 60 and I know canoeing takes more skill, especially for distance.

This is true with kayaking vs canoeing to just go in a straight on e or battle winds but when you get into some of the extreme whitewater, and ocean kayaking and all the different types of rolls like in the Greenland tournaments, kayaking is definitely no cake walk.
