Looks like everything worked out fine, I don't know of a cheaper way that wouldn't take a lot longer (except 10 people helping, that is Chinese method). Piece of cardboard taped to fuselage, may have helped with chain fall or sometimes I tie a rope on the return chain to keep it close to gantry. I would not recommend using structural beams in hanger unless you know what load they were designed for. Cameraman deserves a raise, nice job.

I spent some years volunteering at a warplane museum, started with sweeping floors, bucking rivets, holding the end of heavy things, and got to see some amazing work accomplished by WW2 and later veterans, and very experienced A&P mechanics, learned so much and regret not following in their footsteps, but I just wasn't built to do that for a full time job. Seeing the engine come out of a B17, or a Mosquito built from scratch on jigs was such an amazing experience. This sort of experience will keep your son employed and productive, he won't have time or money to get into trouble :)

Love that video! It looks like a 1956-1958 Cessna 310. I road on 1960 310D way back in 1974 that plane was 14 yrs old that time! I have road and flown many of Cessnas 150s, 172s, 177s, 182s, 206, 210, 310s and the 401 during the 1970-1980s. Best ever I have flown is the 1969 Cessna 401A take off and landing as I was 13 years old in 1975 at that time with my dad and his good friend. But you got a good older good condition to put back together. It was great to see old planes being saved and to fly again! It was interesting to see how u can haul it through by cranes and put it back together. I bet it take lot of time and carefulness not to damage it. I congrats to you for fixing and restoring planes.
