I love Jimmy Fallon when he gets to be himself, like when he talks with people he knows and doesn't feel the need to put on a show. (And also during the pandemic when there was no audience and he interacted more with The Roots / when he was at home.) Also, he's a good story teller! The Prince ping pong story is probably my favourite Tonight Show moment.

@@samsmith4216 I Just meant when he's in a more casual environment. To me it looks like in Tonight show he maybe feels like he needs to put on a show a little bit (over exaggerate some of his reactions etc.) During lockdown in the studio without audience and at home I felt like he was more himself. Anyway, this is my personal opinion. From what I see, I like him as a person.

@@mariannejtv2730 If such is the case he doesn't belong in the format. Phony is phony, a bad actor is a bad production. He gushes on his guests and laughs when there's no reason to. Makes for a shallow and substanceless interview and show. The only ones that seemed entertained are ones that have never seen the best and the celebrities who are just happy to get in front of a camera and get their asses kissed by the Host.

Michael Keaton tells one equally funny about when he and Nicholson were in London for months filming Batman. Nicholson was unable to get access to any Laker games while over there and was disgruntled by it. One morning on set while Keaton was sitting in the makeup chair, Nicholson came in and took the chair next to Keaton, laid back in the chair and sighed: "That was a hell of a dart competition last night, huh?"

Very funny. Jack just being genuine and sarcastically saying, "Did ya' get the prize yet"? Then. He says," we used to get medal things like tin whistles". (I can imagine Jack saying that in a tone voice as if the world is going to heck in a handbasket.) "Now all ya' get is a picture of a snake". With SO MUCH GOOD & SO MUCH BAD IN THE WORLD, it's great to be striving for more good and with humor, feel serenity by looking at stand-ups doing bits. Like " Jack" bits. For example, someone doing a "spot-on" impersonation of Jack saying things like, "Someone put a marshmellow in my Dr. Pepper. What else is wrong with my order? Oh, surprise. Extra crunchy curly fries. Mo must be workin' today". That was funny. "We used to get TIN WHISTLES". Then he looks off into the distance as if the world has gone awry. Anyone hanging out with Jack and repeating things he has said COULD BE VERY FUNNY. (In the movie, One who flew over the cuckoos nest, there was a line where Jack said, "come on boys. we're goin' fishing".(because he was so annoyed with the head nurse in the psych ward.) Only Jack can say that in the right circumstance and with his disposition and demeanor and it be HILARIOUS.
