I recently watched Stephen Colbert host this in 2006, when George Bush Jr was the president, and it was amazing. Maybe these dinners should have two comedians with opposing political ideologies perform and roast everyone. I actually can't believe that Stephen Colbert was the host that year

As a Canadian, I can just watch and understand only a majority of the jokes, not all of them, but it really seemed like it took shots at everyone. I liked that, it's good for him to be at an event like that and be hard or easy on all sides equally. Did anyone else feel that way?
