Oh my gosh, this whole thing is so bizarre. When I was a young mom, I left my chickens out and our 10 month old German Shepherd killed 50 chickens. I’ll never forget driving into our yard at night as the headlights illuminated on 50 dead chickens, And the dog was sitting there, looking literally proud of herself. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I never shot the dog. I actually thought it was my fault for leaving the chickens out. We actually managed to train the dog the next year when it was older and it never killed another chicken, we had the dog for nine years.
