German here: The reason nobody outside of our country has ever heard of Gelsenkirchen - a 260,000 people city within Germany's most densely populated region, the Ruhrgebiet, close to Dortmund und Düsseldorf - is probably that the city's name is not in the title of its well-known soccer club, which actually had its fair share of international success on the European level in the past: FC Schalke 04. They are traditionally regarded as the large local rival to Borussia Dortmund and their stadium is actually the 5th largest in Germany (after Berlin, Dortmund and two in Munich). So Taylor Swift easily selling it out three days in a row can be seen as quite an accomplishment, I guess ;)

The fact that Biden was in-tune enough with the American people to know that was occurring, and then taking the time to post an encouraging message is actually pretty impressive. He is, of course a politician, and I'm sure there are plenty of folks who would deny him any credit for this based on the fact there's an election coming, but the point to note is - look at the contrast. When was the last time Trump sent out a message that was positive towards absolutely all who heard it? It's not in him to be kind.
