Yeah, man. Andor is one of the best things SW has done since Empire.

One of my favorite things about Andor: it feels like almost EVERY single side character could be the star of their own show, with their own interesting, in-depth stories. There's just such a sense of texture and personality and *weight* to all the characters, it a way that really grounds the story and makes it all feel real.

I went into Andor with low expectations and came out of it going "this is the best thing from SW in a long time". The production and dialogue stands out the most for me. By far one of my favorite things with Andor.

These first 3 episodes are just dipping your toes into the world... it just builds and builds from here. I love it!

It's insane how underrated this great show was/is. It shows how much potential there is in star wars. And also how much of that is being wasted with other projects...

Rogue One and Andor are the best thing Star Wars has done period. Because both focus on the true villain, The Empire itself. That focus allows for more story avenues and grounded emotional stories than the Sith.

They were smart and released the first 3 episodes together.

I have three favorites. Andor, The Americans, and The Bear. Initially, the first three episodes were dropped at once.

Some of the best Star Wars content ever. So much of the other stuff feels bogged down trying to appeal to younger fans and relying on cameos from major Star Wars characters to keep older fans interested. Corporate fingerprints all over. We need more grown up Star Wars, can't think of anything I'm looking forward to more right now than Andor season 2.

Your happiness at Timms death really cracked me up. Timms personal insecurity and need for control has obvious consequences beyond just Cassian and his friends. When you rat people out under a dictatorship, it has rather more severe repercussions than in a democracy.

You didn't even make me watch the whole scene, but I still felt the speech to the men before the raid being one of the most painful things I've ever seen.

Yessssss, best Star Wars content to date (at least to me). I enjoyed the realism and nuance of Andor and how it brilliantly showcases the little guy's plight. It's seriously well written, acted, and everything. I'm looking forward to your reactions! 💖

Mate. Episode 3 is so good, yes, but honestly, nowhere near as good as its gonna get. You have not yet met who I believe is the best acted and most quietly terrifying Star Wars villain yet. Youll know her when you see her. I am well aware that this is sacrilege. I was 16 when Star Wars was released, and saw it 6 times in the theater on opening weekend, so I have a long history with the franchise and I will always love the original trilogy, so believe me when I say I think this season as a whole is the best Star Wars ever. Yeah, I said it. Just wait til you get into the second half.

First: one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. No qualifier. Absolute masterpiece. Fully cried several times in the last few episodes. And Luthien instantly became one of my favorite characters in the franchise, which I say as a lifelong Star Wars fanboy with stacks Legends canon books and comics. Second, this and recently X-Men 97 both make me irrationally angry in a way I can’t explain. It’s like “THIS?! We could have had this the WHOLE TIME? And you give us bullshit instead?!” Just let the antisocial weirdo you hired do their thing with your toy box and great things happen, Disney, learn the fucking lesson.

Andor is AWESOME

We don't know what's going to happen next, where these characters are going, or if we're going to see them again. But by this time, the writer has earned our trust, and we're willing to go wherever he's taking us.

This is a great show, easily the best Star Wars since Disney took over.

What's good about Andor, it actually tells story in SW universe without just rehashing or nostalgia pandering, and has acts in its story structure (it is typical 4 acts structure, with so-called 3 episode arcs). But, since it isn't just "bang-boom-hooray-easter egg" each episode it is considered slow burn which it really isn't. Don't show people Sopranos or The Wire these days, I guess, when people talk and nothing happens outside of actual character development and good written drama. Honestly, sick that modern TV needs to drop bombs and shock value and cliffhangers each episode, or go to procedural slob to be entertaining to a viewer. First 3 episodes (Act1) is just classic setup, and it is very good specifically for the story they are trying to tell. Add to this acting, dialogue, set design being more or less physical or location, it all creates the feeling "this is kind of good actually". Especially good, since they could've easily missed. Cassian as a character is kind of secondary at best, the idea of what happened to him before Rogue One is kind of meh, and so on. Personally, this is the type of SW I want to see, either this or first seasons of Mandalorian are perfect for SW universe.

Glad to see more people catching onto Andor and hopefully will be ready when season 2 drops. The Chief Inspector scene was probably my favorite scene in the first episode. Totally calls it and since the officers weren't the decent ones, he's deciding to just let it drop. It is a great show that has you on the side of the criminal and questioning the morally right thing to do. The first three episodes dropped on the same night and IMO should have just been one longer premiere epiosde that it probably originally was, because the cut off of the episodes 1 and 2 was weird. And yeah. Timm really got lucky with Bix. The Kenari flashback is actually very good in fleshing out what is going on in the galaxy and why there are only kids in the tribe. Seeing the abandoned mining operation and using the "mining disaster" excuse that they used in Rogue One is just code for the Republic or Empire doing shitty things.

This show should've never been released weekly. That hurt it I think. It was written and filmed as if it was, essentially, four two-and-a-half-hour movies, and the episodes should've all been released in blocks, Each arc should've been released fully same day. Watching it weekly is honestly kinda... not amazing, but watching it three episodes at a time is a phenomenal experience. The first three episodes dropped same day but the rest released weekly, which I think was a mistake.

You can call him Mr. Skarsgard haha. Weirdly enough, I totally forgot he was in this, even though it's he's obviously a pretty significant character. But he is great...just, in a way feels disconnected from a lot of the situations he's in, like he's operating on a higher plane. Did you react to Rogue One? Didn't find it in da vids on this channel. Glad you love it too. OT, Rogue One, Andor are the best of Star Wars.

It's one of the best series I've seen ever, up there with the likes of Breaking bad and GOT (seasons 1-6). Definitely on a top 10 best TV shows I've ever seen.

Enjoying your reaction! It’s interesting, I noticed that in general male reactors are a lot less tolerant of Timm (Bix’s jealous boyfriend) than female reactors. He’s very insecure, quite new in the relationship, Cassian is an ex with a dodgy past, is very good looking, and so is Bix - somewhat out of his league, perhaps. But yes, he does a terrible thing. I felt sad at his death though. He did feel tremendous guilt once he realised his mistake (when she turned up on the booty call)

I'm actually surprised you liked the Mandalorian that much. It's understandable why it's popular and it's got a great tone, but episode to episode it can be a little shaky. So...best Star Wars TV, period! (I have some qualms but not huge ones.) Also, the correct way to end that sentence is "the best Star Wars TV I've seen since...." :P

Like, you're right on it would make sense to not see the friends on this planet again, as what Cassian left behind and how he left them. (But if I never saw Adria Arjona again...the mind shudders.) But that guy? His whole arc was to watch him be a prat and then be violently, catastrophically made a fool of? Hahaha god damn that's spiteful.

Completely agreed - this show would have been very unsatisfying if I had watched it weekly. Especially since there are several three episode arcs (episodes 1-3, 3-6, and 8-10) which really ought to be watched as one story each. I found this show excellent but if I had not binged it my opinion would probably be significantly more critical.
