I felt like that last comment was referring to me about remembering to switch the clamp over when polishing lol. Thanks again for the lesson Jim.

Good comparison video, the Hira-to clamp is the best, has made my flat hone sharpening so much easier. Thank you.

Hi Jim, I've been watching all your videos and they are fab, I'm always learning something new. Could you please tell me where I can find the tool you use from minute 8.00 to sharpen the scissors? I looked for it on the internet, but I can't find it, thanks. Greetings from Italy.

I'm just learning to sharpen, and I was wondering what's the difference between the ookami and the TAS, and on the TAS is that shear holder an extra accessory, I was thinking of purchasing a TAS. which in your opinion would be a better first machine.
@JimSharpBlog7 жыл бұрын
Jo jo It depends on what kind of shears you plan to sharpen. If you will be doing fabric type shears, the TAS is fine. If you plan to do beauty shears, you'll need the Ookami. Both machines come with the clamp and arm. If you'd like me to quote you on either of these machines email me at otenews@gmail.com. I sell them at a good discount.

Thank you for your videos! How would you use a TAS to sharpen a curved grooming shear?
@JimSharpBlog8 жыл бұрын
Hi William. I have a video on here that shows that. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.

Jim what grit wheel is the left side of the TAS?
@JimSharpBlog8 жыл бұрын
On the TAS it's a 120 grit aluminum oxide wheel. On the Ookami it's an 800 grit diamond wheel.
