Thanks for this reaction. :) For me, it was a performance where even their laughter was perfectly felt. I was very touched that Chris was doing a back vocal in Korean. He would have learned and practiced Korean pronunciation for it, and I feel more grateful to know that it's not easy.😭 This song reminds me Jin's speech in 2018 MAMA. Jin said in his acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA that BTS suddenly became famous worldwide and had a hard time for a year due to great pressure and fear. They even thought about disbanding. However, after a year of talking and contemplating with the members, they decided to stay in the industry only for the fans and members. They stayed for ARMY even though they had a chance to return to their normal lives. And at the last concert in Busan, SUGA told ARMY to grow old together because they will make music for another 20 or 30 years. 😭

Wow watching this just hit me that this was the last time for two years that we see Jin on stage 😭

Thank you for reacting to Jin's live performance at Coldplay's concert & at a very opportune time of day when Jin enters his military training our time in Asia today, December 13, 2022.

The lights were Coldplay's xylobands, wristbands they let their audience borrow during concerts. They can be used by their lightning technicians on a similar way as ARMY bombs. There are a few army bombs in the audience (you'll notice bigger round balls of light if you pay attention) but as they're really expensive and hard to find here in Argentina, and the stadium didn't confirm if they would let people bring them in, there were scarce. I couldn't get a ticket, but most people on the higher areas at the sides of the stage were ARMY, as well as a little space near the top because ticket sales for those areas where open after Jin's participation that day was announced. Most of the stadium was already sold out by then (Coldplay sold out ten dates in River) save for returns and those spaces added afterwards

Our moon our astronaut what a time to watch this when Jin just enlisted yesterday. I love how much respect and love Coldplay has for BTS and vice versa, its a relationship that is so rare and precious. Thank you for this reaction 💜

Y Jin cantó con un nudo en la garganta. Al final, cuando se fué del escenario, lloró mucho, lo dijo él en un live que hizo después. I didn't see this until now but wanted to thank you for all your illustrations of vocal technique. I hear it, but can't always explain what I'm hearing, and your willingness to sing examples is so cool. And yeah, this relationship is goddamn beautiful. Chris Martin is a good big brother to Jin, who's the oldest in BTS so he's usually the one who doesn't have that... The pride in Chris's face when he watches Jin perform is just wonderful. And the song wrecks me. If we ever doubted that he meant it... This man flew from Korea to Argentina to perform this song exactly once in front of an audience. What a gift. 💜

Lovely, thanks for the reaction. It's always beautiful to see this, since that was real pure emotion we saw, Jin (and chris and the band) sounded amazing and their combined fans were so enthralled with them you could feel the fun and love and energy radiating even through a screen.

This is too cute and heartwarming. Yes, ARMY bombs are the lightsticks BTS has. Coldplay has a similar version, but for the wrist (bracelet/watch). But there were a TON of ARMYs. I think the concert was sold out/almost before they announced Jin would come an join on stage - so we have a great overlap of fans, not to mention mutual respect and love and wanting to see, experience and support Coldplay. An amazing band and they've been nothing but incredibly kind, respectful and fun to BTS (and people in general). This concert was broadcasted in cinemas around the world, so all us ARMY who couldn't get a ticket/afford going to Argentina could watch him. Me and four other woman went together. We had to say properly goodbye to Jin and support his first solo stage away from the members. It was really a great concert, all of it! Btw. do you have any Danish roots? First Lukas Graham and now the Jack and Jones t-shirt :-)

I'm sure you realized by the end that there was no vocal track. BTS doesn't always use them. When they do it is most often with performances with choreography, gives them a chance to breathe. Yes the lights are called ARMY bombs, except for when you're flying on a plane, you call them light sticks.

Thank you for the reaction. I’m interested in your background in sound engineering. Could you do a reaction comparing BTS performances in a Japanese concert/recording vs korean. I say this because the Japanese performances always sound so ‘gritty’ and live (in a good way), the difference has always intrigued me. I will try to recommend some Japanese BTS performances

I wonder if you are correct that he was singing over a track, because he obviously forgot the words just before the end of the song and Chris Martin had to remind him

I’m gonna have to disagree with you on one thing. I think it is possible for everyone to be able to sing both high and low supported, but it takes hours and hours of work to develop those muscles for your head voice and your chest voice, and if you even skip a few days of practice in a row you start to lose it. So I’m going to say that everyone can do it but it’s difficult and a lot of people chose not to because it’s not worth it to them to develop those registers that they don’t use much. Other than that I agree with everything you said.

He recently really defended BTS in an interview ...when they ( the interviewer) made an unfortunate comment
