In Season 1, there were moments where John B and Pope treated Kie like shit. JJ is the only one who’s been nothing but nice to her.

I have been team jj and kiara since the beginning

The feelings are so obvious. They don't need romantic scenes to show the chemistry and the relationship between them. They're both protectors, JJ would die for his friends, for the pogues, and Kie is always there for the emotionally strangling moments. They both put up really hard shells for everyone else, and JJ only let his guard down for Kie at the hot tub. Kie sides with JJ on everything, she protects him because she loves him the most. JJ and Kie flirt endlessly, Kie and Pope never. Kie showed no interest in Pope aside from her pity kiss in the finale, whereas with her and JJ, they tease and flirt. JJ always offers his hand for her, a gentlemanly move, despite his rough and tough appearance. Kie cries for JJ, she cries the tears he's too afraid to shed, she understands his feelings. They stick together no matter what, when John B's gone with Sarah, when Pope's gone for his interview, JJ never leaves Kie and KIe never leaves JJ. JJ loves KIe too much to tell her how he feels after she kisses Pope, but you can see he's crying. Kie and JJ mean more to each other than any of the other pogues, and they're the power ship of the show. If netflix doesn't make them end up together, I'll probably kill myself, but I have a feeling they will end up together because Netflix posted something on their page saying " Outer banks has a lot of boats and a lot of ships as well' or something like that underneath a picture of Maddy and Rudy ( Kiara and JJ). Anyway there's some of my reasoning, Jiara is endgame.

the writers better do the right thing and put these two together for the sake of everything because they're perfect kiara and pope have zero romantic chemistry

they need each other. jj is broken but he tries not to show it, but kiara knows and she doesn't judge him for it, she supports him and gives him the love he needs. in the hot tub scene, that might have been the first time jj was ever held like that by someone he loved while he was hurting. he held on to her so tightly, because he needed to be held, to be comforted in someone's arms. in that moment, kiara was his safe place. he never had that comforting, loving support before. his mother left him as a baby, and his father sure as hell never comforted him. kiara gives him the love and support that he needs in life because she knows he doesn't get that anywhere else. that's what's so beautiful about them, kie is always there for him, no matter what, and he always protects her and her integrity. when rafe takes a stab at kie, by saying she looks hot for a pouge, jj doesn't even need to think about defending her. he just snaps and goes off on rafe, because he loves her so much he can't bear to hear anyone have a go at her honor. when pope starts yelling at kie, saying that she abandoned the pogues during her "kook year", jj immediately starts to stick up for her. that was the thing about pope and kiara, that just didn't work. besides a total lack of chemistry between them, pope was always quick to assume she liked him. when jj asks john b how it was going with kie, pope says ''maybe shes just into someone else'', and i think he assumed it was him. when he told kiara he loved her, i think he was expecting her to reciprocate his feelings, and when she couldn't, his entire demeanor just changed. he became unpredictable and even violent to a slight degree. he felt that he had been wronged and betrayed, and failed to listen to kiara's reasoning as to why she couldn't reflect his feelings, lashing out at her and the others. jj was quick to defend her, and he was so heartbroken when kiara kissed pope. kiara and jj just have so much chemistry and they just fit. pope and kie, they fit about as well as a glove on the wrong hand. jj and kie have everything the other needs and that's what would make them such a good pairing.

I cried when the show was over because they didn’t get together. They better get together next season or i will literally die 😞

i can’t believe no ones mentioned the fact thaT JJ and Ki have way more chemistry than John B and Sarah and the most they have done is HUGGED whilst sarah and john had multiple romantic scenes of kissing in the rain and willing to dye for each other. it’s crazy

JJ always loved Kiara for the little things, he was "In Love" he got hurt when Kiara kissed John B and Pope. He sacrificed everything for her but he just kept getting hurt, like he was nothing. JJ really just needed love and affection from the people he would sacrifice his life for.

Honestly I want the writers to really take their time with jj and kiara relationship (flirting hints throughout but maybe have them together i the end of s2) I ship them so much but it would be unnatural if they rush into it and I dont want Pope to get hurt. But they def have a connection so in the end they HAVE TO be with eachother. they are endgame by the way hope everyone has a great day and this is an amazing vid :)

The thing I love about this ship is that the writers didn’t intend for us to ship this, but the actors are super close in real life so their incredible chemistry is what made us ship them + some help from the editors who always panned to JJ’s frowning face whenever he watched Kiara kiss someone else

It would be heartbreaking but I hope in season 2 there’s a scene where jj is struggling with john B being gone and he is crying holding the gun and then kie walks in and stops and comforts him during the hard time he’s going through and he tells her how he feels. I don’t know if that weird that I have like a whole scene played out in my head but that’s what I think should happen.
